The days that followed were filled with a calm Tony hadn’t felt in a long time. The recent close call with Peter’s kidnapping was still fresh in everyone’s minds, but it brought with it a renewed sense of togetherness for their family.

Tony found himself taking extra time each day to enjoy the little things. He watched as Peter and MJ honed their skills together, challenging each other in everything from tech-building projects to combat training, their competitive spirits sparking laughter throughout the Tower.

One afternoon, as Tony was tinkering with a new suit upgrade in his workshop, he heard a soft knock. He glanced up to see Peter standing in the doorway, his expression a mix of shyness and excitement.

"Got a minute, Dad?" Peter asked, stepping inside.

"Always," Tony replied, setting down his tools. "What’s up?"

Peter shifted from foot to foot, looking down at his hands. “I just… I wanted to say thank you. For everything. I know I don’t say it enough, but you and pops, you guys have given me more than I could ever ask for.”

Tony’s heart softened, and he walked over to place a reassuring hand on Peter’s shoulder. "Hey, you never need to thank us, kid. Family doesn’t need a reason to look out for each other."

Peter smiled, nodding. “I know, but after what happened… I just realized how much you both mean to me. I want to be the kind of son you’re proud of.”

“Peter,” Tony said, his voice gentle but full of conviction, “we’ve always been proud of you. You’re brave, loyal, and you have the biggest heart of anyone I know. That’s all we could ever ask for.”

They shared a quiet moment, father and son, both understanding the depth of their bond. It was a connection Tony hadn’t expected to find when Peter came into his life, but one he was endlessly grateful for.

Just then, Steve’s voice called from the hallway. “Are you two busy in there? Because MJ’s demanding another movie night, and apparently, you’re both on snack duty.”

Peter grinned, shooting Tony a playful look. “Guess we better not keep her waiting.”

Tony chuckled, giving Peter’s shoulder a squeeze. “Let’s go keep the peace, then. Can’t have the Avengers’ next generation on our case.”

They headed upstairs to find MJ, Steve, and the others already setting up in the living room. Steve had a large pile of blankets and pillows stacked on the floor, ready for the perfect movie night setup.

“Ready for snack duty, gentlemen?” Steve asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

“Absolutely,” Tony replied with a grin. “Peter, I hope you’re ready to be my sous-chef. We’ve got popcorn and way too much candy to prep.”

The night was filled with laughter and warmth, a reminder of all they had fought for to create this safe haven. And as they settled in to watch the movie, Tony and Steve exchanged a quiet smile, grateful for every moment they got to share with their family.

Whatever the future held, they knew they’d face it together—unbreakable and stronger than ever.

As the movie played on, MJ and Peter quickly became engrossed in the action scenes, their eyes glued to the screen. Peter’s occasional gasps and MJ’s amused chuckles filled the room, while Tony and Steve sat back, enjoying the energy and warmth surrounding them.

Tony leaned over to Steve, his voice soft, “Hard to believe we’ve come this far, huh? All those battles, the chaos—sometimes, I never thought we’d get here.”

Steve’s gaze softened as he looked back at him. “I know what you mean. But seeing them like this… it makes every fight worth it.”

Tony smiled, feeling a sense of peace he hadn’t known in years. He shifted slightly, resting his head on Steve’s shoulder, their hands naturally finding each other. The movie played on, but Tony was more focused on the calm in his heart. It wasn’t something he had expected to find, but here it was—a family, something steady and strong.

Suddenly, Peter nudged MJ, pointing out a particularly thrilling part of the movie. “Look at that! I’m totally adding that move to my training,” he whispered, excitement sparking in his eyes.

“Good luck with that,” MJ teased, giving him a nudge back. “You’ll need it.”

“Don’t worry, I’ve got an unfair advantage,” Peter said, casting a playful glance at Tony and Steve. “Two of the best mentors in the world.”

Tony squeezed Steve’s hand, a soft chuckle escaping him. “You hear that, Cap? Looks like we’re doing something right.”

Steve squeezed back, his smile bright. “Guess we’ll have to keep it up, then.”

They sat there for the rest of the movie, nestled together as a family, surrounded by love and laughter. In that moment, Tony realized just how much he would do to protect this happiness. And as he looked around at the faces of the people he loved most, he knew one thing for certain: they were worth every fight, every battle, and every risk.

Whatever life threw at them next, they’d be ready—together.
