The following day, the city buzzed with its usual rhythm, but a tension simmered just beneath the surface. Peter had tried to shake off the unease from the previous day, but it clung to him like a shadow. He paced around the Stark Tower, fiddling with his web-shooters, when he heard a knock at his door.
“Hey, big brother!” Morgan called, entering with her usual energy. “What’s got you pacing like a tiger in a cage?”
Peter forced a smile. “Just… thinking.”
“Thinking about what?” she pressed, her eyes narrowing playfully. “You’re not planning to run off and join a circus, are you?”
“Very funny,” he replied, rolling his eyes. “No, seriously. I’m just worried about everything. Hydra, Mr. Voss, and I just have this feeling something is coming.”
Morgan stepped closer, her expression softening. “I get it. But you can’t let it consume you. You’ve got me, MJ, and the Avengers. We’re all in this together. Remember what Mom always says? ‘A problem shared is a problem halved.’”
Peter chuckled softly, appreciating her attempt to lighten the mood. “You’re right. I just want to keep everyone safe.”
“And you will. Just keep doing what you do best. Plus, if anything happens, I’ve got your back,” Morgan reassured him with a confident grin.
“Thanks, sis. I guess I needed that.” Peter pulled her into a brief hug, feeling a little of the weight lift off his shoulders.

Later that afternoon, Peter joined MJ in the living room, where she was curled up on the couch with a book. “What are you reading?” he asked, plopping down beside her.
MJ looked up, a smile lighting her face. “It’s a romance novel. Thought I could use a little escape.”
“Seems like a good plan. Want to read it together?” Peter suggested, feeling the urge to share in her moment of peace.
“Sure, but only if you promise not to get all mushy on me,” MJ teased, nudging him playfully.
“I make no promises,” Peter replied, a smirk on his face. They settled into a comfortable silence, their shoulders touching as MJ read aloud.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Tony and Steve were preparing dinner, the aroma of pasta wafting through the air. As they cooked, they stole glances at the living room, where Peter and MJ shared quiet moments.
“I love seeing them like this,” Tony said, stirring the sauce. “It reminds me of us when we were their age.”
“Yeah, before we had to deal with all the… complications,” Steve replied, his tone turning serious.
Tony paused, his expression softening. “You think about it a lot, don’t you?”
“Sometimes. I just wish I could protect them from everything,” Steve admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
“They’ll be alright, Steve. They’re strong, just like you. And we’ve got their backs,” Tony reassured, placing a hand on Steve’s shoulder.
Steve nodded, but the worry didn’t fully leave his eyes. “I know. But with Hydra lurking around, it’s hard not to think about what could happen.”

As dinner approached, the family gathered around the table, laughter filling the air. Morgan had concocted a game where they each had to share their most embarrassing moment, and the stories that unfolded left everyone in stitches.
