"He sent you that!" Ashley was freaking out more than I was.

"He probably meant to send it to his stupid girlfriend or to his mom, but I know it wasn't meant to me," I shrugged. I didn't want to overreact to this message, but in the back of my mind, I wanted to know if it was really meant for me.

Ashley was still confused, I didn't want to talk about this message any longer. I dragged Ashley out of bed and into the kitchen where my mother was cooking breakfast.

"Good morning girls, how was the mall?" I didn't know how to answer, I didn't want to discuss the event with Parker and Meghan, so I decided to answer with a brief summary of the good parts of the night.

"It was great, I saw Anne Hood and her daughter Luna. They were really nice and sweet. But other than that all Ashley and I did was shopping," she nodded and gave us a plate of food.

"What plans do you guys have for today?" My mother asked. I instantly looked at Ashley, she always had something planned for the two of us.

"I want to take Alex to New York City again so we could spend the entire day there instead of just a couple hours and so we could explore Times Square and shop. Is that alright?" My mother instantly nodded.

Of course my mother said yes to her, she loves her (maybe more than she loves me), and she treats as if she's her third daughter.

Ashley and I finished eating and went back upstairs to get ready. I put on a long sleeve white crop top, skinny jeans and my white converse but I brought a jacket just in case. Ashley was already waiting in the car by the time I finished. I quickly yelled goodbye to my mom and to my dad who had just woken up.

I got into the car with excitement in my eyes and we took off.

I was in awe.

Times Square was beautiful.

The lights were blinding even in broad daylight and the city was packed, there was chaos all around.

The New Year's ball sitting on a very tall pole. I haven't seen the ball drop in person since I was about five years old, I just remember having the time of my life and the excitement flowing through the streets when the new year started. My family didn't have time to go to Times Square after the one year we went. But hopefully, I'll be able to come in a few months to see it.

"I can't get over how beautiful this is," I looked over at Ashley who was in awe as well. We had been standing in the same spot for over ten minutes just looking at the city.

"I think we should begin this adventure with some shopping!" Ashley was super excited to be shopping in Times Square. I rolled my eyes and laughed at her excitement. And we started walking towards the stores.

After a few hours of exploring and walking from store to store, we decided to go to Forever 21.

"I'm going to go try this on I'll be right back." I nodded and Ashley left to go to the dressing room.

I kept looking around, and I soon heard a familiar yet annoying voice,

"I have to get something for my date with Parker tonight, I don't understand why he doesn't want to commit to me. He doesn't spend lots of time with me. We are perfect for each other, he's super hot and I'm super hot. That stupid Alex girl had to ruin everything for me, ever since he saw her at the mall he totally forgot about my existence. But he promised tonight that he would take me to a romantic dinner." It was Meghan and her group of friends.
