The car ride was silent.
"Bab-"
"Alexandra, I'm not in the mood to talk," Myles said sternly.
When he calls me Alexandra, I know he's serious.
He had one hand on the wheel and the other was resting on the center console of the car, I reach for his hand but he quickly moves it away and puts it on the wheel.
A frown tugs at my lips.
I don't know who to be madder at Parker or myself.
I mean Parker purposely pushed Myles' buttons to get to him.
But I pushed to go the party, I left him alone at the table knowing Parker was around the house somewhere.
I lean my head against the window and just watch the other cars pass by.

As soon as we get home, Myles goes straight to my room and doesn't say anything to anyone.
My mom is watching tv dozing off a bit while Caleb is sleeping in her arms
I sigh, putting my purse down and I realize I left my phone at the party.
Why am I always losing my damn phone?
I grab Myles' car keys and head right back out the door, I don't even bother telling him because he doesn't even want to talk.
I create a game plan in my head; go in, get my phone, and get out.
Easy.
I really need to stop leaving my phone around Parker.

I knock on the door, the party has died down quite a bit and they've moved inside.
My silent prayers that Parker wouldn't open the door had been answered when I see Anne's face opening the door.
"Hi sweetie," Anne greets warmly.
"Hi, I just forgot my phone earlier and I just came to pick it up." She stepped back and let me in.
"I put everything I found in a box in the basement, I'm just warning you that Parker is down there with his cousin's but I could grab Luna from upsta-"
"Anne, it's fine, I don't want to interrupt the fun she's having with her friends. Don't worry about it, I'm capable of going to downstair and getting my phone without punching Parker."
"Alex, you know you're always welcome here," she giggles lightly at my comment.
"I've missed you and Luna so much," I confessed.
"We've missed you, all of us have. I guess when Parker saw you, he forgot time has passed," she explained.
I hugged her tightly and she pointed me in the direction of the basement.
I took a deep breath and walked down the stairs.
I could hear the boys yelling, I guess there's a game or something.
I got to the end of the stairs, and all their eyes were on me.
I could see Parker's smirk all the way from across the room.
"Alexandra," He purred.
I simply ignored him and walked towards the box of stuff.
"Guys, this is my friend Alex," Parker emphasized on the word friend.
"Too bad that's not true Parker," I corrected.
I continued looking in the box.
"Oh yeah, she wasn't my friend she was my tutor who I could kiss all the time," My jaw dropped and I turned to look at him and he winked at me.
"And that was so long ago, I can almost forget how much of a bad kisser you were," I asserted.
"Ouch babe, that hurt but I know for sure I'm a better kisser than your little boyfriend. And I know you can never forget how my lips felt on yours." He was getting up walk towards me.
I rolled my eyes and turned around again, rushing to find my stupid phone.
I need to get out of here.
"You let that one go?" One of his cousins shouted.
I could feel his presence behind me.
He moved my hair and I could feel his breath on my neck.
"Nope, I never did, and I never will" he answered.
I pushed him away from me and he took my phone out of his pockets.
"Give me my phone back asshole." He raised my phone up high and without thinking I jump for it.
He tossed it to one of his cousins, and it got passed along and I lost track of it.
"Now, the only way for you to get your phone back is to kiss me," Parker said cunningly.
"Parker, I'm not a cheater. I don't play with people's feelings, I don't hurt people like you hurt me. I love Myles with all my heart, I will never hurt him. So give me my phone back so I can go home to him," I said sternly.
His cousin, who seems to be the most mature one hands me the phone and I storm out.
All his cousins begin whispering and I can hear footsteps behind me.
"Alex." I walk out the house.
"Alex." I walk towards my car.
I feel him grab my arm and he turns me around.
"I'm not letting you leave without you hearing what I have to say, not again," he says sternly.
I pull my arm out of his grip.
He really doesn't deserve it but I also need to hear this for my own sake.
"One minute, you have one minute before I get in this car and drive away without looking back." I cross my arms and lean against my car.
He sighs and runs his fingers through his hair.
"Alex, I miss you. I miss us. I should've told you that when I had the chance, I should've been with you when I had the chance but the man who abused me and my mother is walking the streets. I couldn't handle it, I still can't now but I'm I know how to control myself. I was f*cked up then, but that f*cked me up even more than you could imagine and I'm sorry you had to be in the middle of the storm, I'm still f*cked up but I've matured. Alex, I can't promise that I'll be the greatest boyfriend, but I'll learn. I told you two years ago, that I didn't know how to love but I'm willing to learn for you because I want to love you." His eyes softened and his voice got softer.
If only he said this to me before I created a life with Myles; before I loved Myles.
"If you said this to me two years ago, this would be different; things would be different." I realized that a tear slipped out of his eye.
I placed my hand on his cheek and wiped it away.
"I'm sorry Parker," I whispered.
I got into my car and a few tears had fallen on my cheeks, but I quickly wipe them away.
