"Babe, it's just a few days back home. Smile a little." I plead.

We were packing up to go to our small town about an hour away.

"Can't we just stay here so I can hang out with Xavier?" He sighed.

"Sorry but no, it's only for the weekend and soon enough you'll be able to run into your boyfriend's arms again." I teased.

"Shut up baby," He laughed.

Finally a smile.

"Alright, well I'm ready to go. Let's head out." We got into the car and drove off.

"Alex, you look beautiful as always. Myles, oh sweetie I missed you so much." Rosalie greeted.

"I missed you too," Myles hugged her tightly.

His family lived in a huge house, they were pretty rich. His dad was CEO of a huge company and his mom owned the restaurant.

"Where are you guys staying?" Rosalie questioned.

"Well, we are probably going to stay at the Montgome-"

"Can you guys stay here a night? I never see you guys," Rosalie begged.

Myles looked at me to answer.

"Uh sure, I'll just let my parents know that we'll be there tomorrow night." I couldn't say no to her, she's Myles' mother.

We grabbed our stuff from the car, we packed lightly for this weekend trip. Rosalie showed us to our room; which was Myles' old room, it looked the same from the few times I was in here, just neater.

"Myles, your father should be here soon. So please make up, I don't like seeing you guys fight and it's been years since the first argument." She said softly.

"I'll try mom." She walked out the room with her head down and shut the door.

He plopped onto the bed and stuck his head in the pillow.

I caressed his head and he closed his eyes.

"We should've just stayed with your parents," he said mumbled.

"We are only here for a night baby, you know your parents love you. Even your dad, he just has a different way of showing it," I replied soothingly.

"Yeah by trying to control every aspect of my life," Myles rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"But it's been almost three years since you guys had a civil conversation," I reminded.

"Well until he apologizes, there won't be a civil conversation. He's trying to live the life he wanted through me. He doesn't care about what makes me happy, as long as it makes him look good he doesn't care. Baby, ever since I started working I had been saving up to just take a year and travel the world, I just wanted to leave my worries for a while. It has always been a dream of mine, I even told my mom when I was fifteen that I was going to take a year off and travel and she was okay with it. But when she told my dad he froze all of my accounts, up until he forced me to college. Even though I got into Columbia which is a great school, my dad chose that school, he paid for everything. I didn't even get to chose what college to go to Alex. And you wonder why I haven't wanted to talk to him in years, I still do everything he wants me to do because I'm the kind of son who doesn't want to disappoint his family more than he already has." His voice cracked and he put his head down.

"You haven't disappointed your family. You've made them proud." I lifted his head and kissed his cheek.

"Dinner is ready!" Rosalie called out.

"Take deep breaths, and we will walk down together, eat and have a nice dinner with your parents." He simply nodded and got up from the bed.

He grabbed onto my hand and squeezed it.

We walked into the dining room and there Christopher at the head of the table.

"Dad," Myles said with his head hanging low.

"Son," He replied.

"Alex, how are you?" Christopher got up hug me and he completely ignored Myles.

"I'm good, how are you?" I replied shyly.

His dad was very intimidating.

"I'd better if Myles' grades were better," he said sternly.

"Are you kidding me, dad? I'm here once in a lifetime and we can't sit down and have a nice dinner," he barked.

Rosalie walked in with the food and set it on the table.

"Rosalie would you like me to help?" I asked, trying to leave before the table is flipped over.

Myles gripped onto my hand and Rosalie saw.

"No, it's okay honey. I got it." She walked back to the kitchen.

"Stop acting like a child Myles, you are twenty one years old. Get your act together. I've done a lot for you and act grateful." Christopher answered as if nothing about this was fazing him.

"Get my act together? Really dad? Well, I really don't have to do I because you've got that covered right? You've controlled everything in my life." Myles yelled.

"I'm preparing you to take over my business Myles, I've been preparing you for years to become like me."

"I don't want to be you, dad, I want to be me. And you have never let me." Myles got up and stormed away.

Rosalie's had tear stains on her cheeks and Christopher's face was red.

"If you excuse me, I'm going to go check on Myles." I quietly got up from my seat and walked to the room.

I opened the door to the room, and Myles was packing up our stuff.

"Baby," he ignored me.

"Myles," he ignored me once again.

I reached for his arm.

"Alex, don't touch me." He jerked his arm away from me.

I've never seen him this mad.

"Where are we going?" I asked quietly.

"Can we go to your parents' house? I just need to get out of here." I simply nodded and grabbed my backpack.

We walked down the stairs and at the bottom his mother was waiting there.

"Do you have to leave?" She asked with sadness filled in her eyes.

"Yes mom, I'll see you before we leave back to the city." He hugged her tightly.

I hugged her and we walked out of the house.

I sent my dad a text that we were on our way and we drove off.

* * *

"Hi my lovelies, Caleb is sleeping so just stay quiet," my mother hugged me tightly.

I really was homesick.

Myles and I tiptoed into my room and Myles just laid down on the bed.

I kissed his forehead and went back to the kitchen where my mother was.

She was cleaning baby bottles and decided to help out.

"So why did you leave his parents house?" She questioned.

"Myles and his dad had a huge fight, and he wanted to leave so we left," I answered quietly.

She simply nodded and continued washing the dishes as I dried.

"I missed you, mommy," I smiled at her.

"I missed you more darling," she put down the dish and hugged me.
