T W O  Y E A R S  L A T E R

"Baby, have you seen my watch?" Myles called from the bathroom.

"It's in our room, on the nightstand." I was sitting comfortably on the couch on my laptop in our new apartment in New York.

Yes, Myles and I moved in together.

I got into NYU and Myles got into Columbia, him and decided to get an apartment together.

During those two years, my mother gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Caleb. He is now almost 2 years old and trust me I wanted to take him with me. And as for Ashley, she went to a university in California. She and I keep in touch a lot, she's the one who convinced me to not live in the past and take some risks.

"I have to get going to my class, I'll see you later." Myles pecked my lips quickly before heading out the door.

"Love you, baby!" He yelled before closing the door.

"Love you too," I yelled back.

I continued doing my work since I didn't have any classes today.

"Sorry I'm late, I need to finish a paper and I didn't keep track of time."

I've been working at this small cafe down the street from my apartment complex, I got the job a few weeks after I moved in. I've made many good friends here, especially Alana. Her and clicked when I first got here and we've been inseparable since.

"It's okay, I covered for you. I told everyone you were in the bathroom." Alana winked.

I giggled and thanked her.

Alana goes to NYU as well and so does her boyfriend Xavier, who also works here but has different shifts. Alana and Xavier are from Boston, they've been high school sweethearts since freshmen year. They are the cutest couple living.

After a few hours, we finally got our break. I grabbed some free coffee and Alana grabbed a muffin and we sat down in the employee lounge.

"So how's everything back at home? Luckily they are only about an hour away."

"They are good, it's crazy how it's like living in two different worlds. It's so calm over there but over here it's hectic, but trust me I like the crazy," I laughed and sipped on my coffee.

"Moving here from Boston was tough because my family isn't close by but I love this city." Alana smiled at the thought of her family.

"It's so cute that you and Xavier were high school sweethearts, and now building a future together."

"Aw, thank you, love. You and Myles should come over for dinner, so our boyfriends can meet and be as close as us."

"We would love to! Myles needs some people to talk to other than me." I giggled.

"Great, I'll text you the details and you let me know if you guys can come."

And soon enough our break was over.

On my way back home, my mind wanders back to high school, back to Parker.

I wonder how he's doing. I wonder how Anne and Luna are doing. What's going on with the Leo situation?

I just need some sleep because I haven't thought about them in a while, I still care about them but it would mess me up if  I did.

* * *

"Baby, I'm home and I brought some takeout."

Silence.

"Baby?"

I was too comfortable, I had just woken from my nap and I was in one of Myles' t-shirts and I still hadn't moved.

Myles came into the room and smiled at the sight of me, I was hiding in the blankets with only my face visible.

"Baby, it's your favorite." He cooed.

"I'm too comfy to get up."

"I'm going to pick you up."

"You won't."

Then I felt his strong arms pick me up bridal style with some blankets still on top of me.

I began laughing hysterically.

He sat me on a stool in front of the breakfast bar and began to take out the food.

I crossed my arms and pouted my lips.

"Now what's wrong baby?" He smiled.

"You drag me out of bed and you can't even kiss me." I tried not to laugh at how stupid I sound, but I missed him today.

He laughed and stood next to me, caressed my cheek and kissed me.

Our lips began moving in sync and soon we almost forgot that there was food on the table.

Almost.

I had secretly grabbed a piece of chicken and when the kiss was going to get deeper I pulled away and put the chicken in my mouth.

He groaned and walked away.

"That was rude."

All I did was smile and eat.

And he kept glaring at me but also trying not to smile.

"But I love you."
