A few months later it was finally time for the trial of Kurt Branson began. Olivia did what she could at home to prepare maddie for her testimony. She also spent a couple days working on it with maddie and Rafael together.

Today was the day as she woke and prepared herself since she also had to testify to both accusations of abuse for both girls.

Olivia made a bowel of cereal for each of her kids and got them up setting out outfits for each of them. When the kids both came out of thier rooms they went strait for the island counter and began to eat as olivia worked on maddies hair. "Ok noah my love you are going to spend the day with aunt amanda and uncle sonny and thier girls. They have a whole day planned for you. Once me and maddie are done we will join you for some ice cream afterwards alright" Olivia said.

"Ok mommy." Noah smiled. His attitude and relationship with maddie had gotten much better and the two were back to acting like best friends and siblings again.

Olivia knelt down in front of maddie after finishing her hair and said "you ready for this lovey?"

Maddie shrugged.

"Its ok hunny you can talk to me." Olivia said touching her daughters leg.

"What if he gets mad I told and tries to hurt me?" She mumbled.

"That will not happen because me and uncle fin and uncle rafa will be in the court room and he is not allowed to even stand without the judges permission." Olivia reassured her.

Maddie nodded slowly "ok mama i...I can do it"

Olivia kissed her head and smiled "I know you can maddie."

Not long after the conversation amanda and sonny came over and picked up noah and olivia hugged him and said "have fun and be good."

"Yes mommy" noah said before leaving.

Olivia then left with maddie taking her hand.

They arrived at the courthouse not long after and sat in the hall until it was madelyns turn and olivia walked her in. Olivia then sat in the front row next to fin and behind Rafael.

Maddie took the oath and sat in the seat taking a breath as she glanced over seeing Kurt and she got a bit scared until Rafael blocked the view between them. "Hi Madelyn."

"Hi Mr. Barba." She said knowing that is what she is supposed to call him in court.

"Now Madelyn, captain benson already told us how you ended up with her but what me and the court want to hear is about the last few times you spent with your father. Can you tell us?"

Maddie rubbed her hands together nervously.

Kurt's lawyer stood and said "she's obviously coming up with a lie if it's taking her this long to answer."

"Sit down Mr Buchanan." The judge demanded.

"Its ok maddie take your time." Rafael said.

"Um...well...daddy used to...used to touch me and take pictures." She started.

"Maddie can you point to where he used to touch you?" Rafael asked.

Maddie slowly pointed to all her most private areas and a few others "it hurt a lot." She whimpered.

"And when he took pictures were you wearing clothes?" Rafael asked gently.

"Sometimes. But sometimes I had no clothes." She replied in a shaky tone.

"Did he ever do anything else?" Rafael continued.

Maddie nodded "he would hit me hard if I was bad and he hit mommy too if he thought she was bad."

And by mommy you mean mommy Molly?" He verified.

She nodded then heard Kurt yell "she's a damn liar!"

Maddie shook terribly when he spoke and the judge got on to him.

Rafael touched her arm gently as he said "thank you maddie."

Mr Buchanan stood after Rafael sat and he said "maddie have you ever told a lie?"

Maddie hesitated but nodded.

"So you could be lying right now to all these people" he continued with a smirk.

Maddie shook her head whimpering "no I told the truth today."

"How can we possible know that? Your mommy and captain benson don't like your daddy do they?" He asked harshly.

Maddie glanced at olivia who gave her a reassuring nod. "No they ...didnt...don't."

"And captain Benson told you what to say isn't that right?" He pushed.

"No...I mean yes but only to practice." She said feeling a little confused.

"So her and Mr barba told you what to say? So we can't believe anything you say" he laughed and went and sat back down.

"Objection!" Rafael shouted.

Maddie had tears going down her cheeks as olivia got up and helped her out.

Maddie cried in to Olivia's arms "I'm sorry...I didn't do good."

"No my love you did great he was just trying to confuse you. You did amazing" she said hugging her close.
