It had been a couple months since olivia had taken in Madelyn. The official adoption process had went through without much problem since they still couldn't locate Madelyns biological father. Olivia was adjusting well to being a mom of two 5 year olds.

Noah and Madelyn seemed to get along most the time although Madelyn still had night terrors about her past and noah and her fought occasionally like most siblings would.

Olivia had doubled Lucy's pay even though Lucy said that much of a raise wasn't nessisary. Olivia had also gotten Madelyn set up at the same school as Noah and were even put in the same class.

Olivia came in to work that day smiling and answering some emails on her phone. "Morning guys" she said to the squad.

Mornin liv" fin said putting a bag of normal coffee grounds in the cupboard and olivia just chuckled slightly and shook her head but made her normal pot of hazelnut.

"So any new cases come up last night?" She asked.

"Nope it was pretty quiet" Kat said and the whole squad sighed and gave her a look.

"What?" Kat shrugged.

"Never say the q word" Amanda sighed as the phones began to ring and the squad groaned as they started answering and were soon bombarded with cases.

Olivia shook her head and went to her office to prepare for another long day. She took her glasses off and put them on her desk as she leaned back a moment then sat up as she heard amanda walk in. "So how's being a mom of 2 going?" She asked.

"As well as can be expected. Noah just started baseball and Madelyn just got signed up for dance classes and I have her seeing my therapist twice a week hopeing it will help sooth her night terrors." Olivia replied.

"So thier still pretty bad?" Amanda asked.

"She has been sleeping in my bed almost every night this week. I just wish I could find the bastard who did this to her but Trevor hasn't had any luck either." She admitted. "Anyway what case do you have for me?"

Amanda sighed "child abuse case at mercy General wanted to see if you wanted to come along since Kat and fin are headed to a rape murder in hells kitchen."

"Yeah let's go" Olivia said grabbing her coat and phone again and heading out.

The cases took longer then Olivia hoped and she hadn't been home in almost 72 hours but she had to relieve Lucy so she finally went home and when she walked in she smiled seeing Madelyn trying to teach Noah some hip hop dance moves she had learned that day in dance class and noah fell on his bottom then noticed his mom and both kids ran to her hugging her tightly.

"Hey kiddos." Olivia said.

"Mama you were gone for so long!" Madelyn said which gave Olivia pause but after a few minutes she smiled.

"I know I'm sorry it was busy at work." Olivia said picking up Madelyn and kissing her cheek then kneeling down and kissed Noah's cheek as well. "You two eat dinner yet?"

"Yeah Lucy made Mac and cheese" noah smiled as Lucy came out of the kitchen putting her jacket on.

"Thank you so much Lucy your a life saver." She said walking her to the door.

Lucy smiled "no problem liv" she yawned "oh and Madelyn had a pretty bad night last night woke up 3 times from nightmares."

Olivia sighed "thanks for letting me know. See you on monday." She said and watched Lucy leave. She went back to the kids and seen Madelyn cleaning up toys again.

"Ok my loves how about popcorn and a movie before bedtime?" Olivia suggested helping Madelyn finish as noah went and grabbed a movie. Olivia smiled as noah put on toy story 4 and olivia went and made a bag of popcorn for the 3 of them to share.

She sat with the two kids snuggled up in her sides as they watched the movie and ate popcorn. Both kids had fallen asleep halfway through the movie and olivia carried them one at a time to thier bed and tucked them in and kissed thier heads. She watched Madelyn for a few minutes extra before going to the kitchen and pouring herself a glass of wine before bed to help her sleep.
