a terrible surprise

Olivia was in her office working on paperwork when her phone rang "Benson" she answered "ok we will be there asap." She sighed and stood walking to the squad room " hey guys we got a child abuse case. Amanda me and you will go interview the child at mercy. Fin and Kat you guys go interrogate the father and Velasco you take the mother and be warned she's a junkie." Olivia sighed as she left with amanda.

As olivia drove Amanda looked at her "so still no update on if they found maddies father?"

Olivia sighed "no and part of me hopes they don't maybe he drank himself to death and he's lying in a ditch somewhere."

Fjn and Kat were talking with the father who had been brought to the precinct and reeked of beer. Olivia was texting them the details the girl had given them.

"So what you go to the bar get drunk as a skunk and then run home to rape your kid?!" Fin glared.

" I didn't rape that brat ask her mother." He smirked.

"Oh you mean the woman you help keep so high she barely knows her own name?!" Fin hissed. "Well guess what dumb ass you left dna so we will be getting a warrant and putting the last nail in your coffin." He smirked.

The lab put a rush on the dna and found 2 hits in the system. The case they were currently working and a case from a few months ago so they called in Olivia and her and amanda went to speak with them.

"You got a hit on 2 cases?" Olivia asked.

"Yeah it matches the semen found on your vic and the dna of an abandoned little girl Madelyn Branson." The tech replied.

Olivia and amanda both froze "your sure?" Olivia asked.

"Yes Madelyn is definitely his daughter." She said.

"Shit." Olivia cursed the air.

The crew continued to work the case but olivia now knew she'd have to inform Trevor so she could figure out if he could get any type of visitation.

She called Trevor and said "hey so we have some news. We found madelyns father during an unrelated case." Olivia replied.

"Really? Is he dead?" He asked.

Olivia sighed "no he's alive and I need to know what this means for me and madelyn." She asked worried she may lose the little girl she had grown so close too over the last few months.

"Let me look in to a few things liv and I'll get back to you soon ok?" He said before hanging up.

The abused girl was picked up by cps. The mother was in holding for drug possession and child endangerment. The father was in for child endangerment and abuse and sexual acts.

Olivia had picked up some Chinese food and headed home to see her kids hopeing maddie would still be hers and not be taken soon.

As she walked in she heard some fighting and Lucy say "that's it you in that corner and you in that one now." She said sternly.

As olivia walked in the living room her kids had thier arms crossed huffing and glaring at each other. "What on earth is going on with you two" she asked looking at her kids.

"Noah cut my dolls hair!" Madelyn said.

"Madelyn hit me!" Noah yelled back.

Olivia sighed and ran her hand over her face and let Lucy go before walking to the couch and haveing her kids stand in front of her. "Noah we do not destroy toys do you understand? And Madelyn we never hit people it is not nice do you understand?"

"Yes mama" they both grumbled.

"This is not how brothers and sisters should treat each other" Olivia scolded.

Noah glared "she's not my sister!" He yelled and ran to his room.

Madelyn began to cry and ran to her room.

Olivia sighed and leaned back on the couch to collect herself before trying to fix this.
