Once they'd all finished their breakfast, Severus decided that they needed a bath, since they hadn't had a proper bath last night after going to the beach, and also, Dudley had gotten egg all over his face. Luckily, though, his clothes are protected by his bib, so he could wear the same clothes after him and Harry had had their baths.
After bath time, wherein Severus and Harry played with the ducks again and Dudley made another mess, Severus placed them both in the playpen with their joint toys, which was set up on the other side of his potions lab today, then he walked over to his table, summoned his ingredients for the potions Madame Pomphrey would need for the hospital wing, and he began to chop them. He had multiple cauldrons ready, and strategy in mind; brew the more complex ones first, so that as summer progressed and Harry and Dudley developed more, as Harry had by saying his first word (which Severus still trying to process), he would only have a few, simple potions left to brew. It was this logic that caused him to start the day off with ten cauldrons of skelegrow, which took two days to brew, as well as his other ten cauldrons of dreamless sleep - this potion was much quicker to brew, but still fairly complex, so it needed to be done sooner rather than later. He needed it for his personal stores, anyhow, since he was running rather low on it at the moment, and he need a lot.
