After a while, Severus could tell they're getting tired from all of their splashing about, so he wrapped the three of them in a big towel and magically dried them and changed them back into their outfits.

To finish the day with a bang, Severus took them to the arcade for the claw machines. When he was younger, he'd never won anything from them, however, he knew a subtle spell he could use to ensure Harry and Dudley's victory.

Dudley went first. He seemed to be concentrating on a toy dog. When the claw lowered, it was obvious it was going to miss, but Severus quickly charmed it to catch the dog just for him, much to Dudley's delight. Stupid muggles. Giving away toys for 20p when they'd sell in the shops for about £5. Morons.

Next, it was Harry's turn. He was aiming for a toy bear. It was a light blue colour, with pastel pink paw pads, whereas Dudley's dog was a chocolate brown with pastel blue paw pads. Both had cute little faces stitched on in black, with two small white circles as details in the eyes on each. The best part was that both boys had 50 tickets from winning their prize, and so they each got two packets of Haribo to start off their sweet stashes.

Severus was a firm believer in sweet stashes. He had, sadly, never been able to have one himself, as he was never given sweets, however he felt it would be extremely useful for Harry and Dudley each to have one, as he felt it promoted good self-discipline. Also, when the boys were a bit older and understood the concept of money, he would give them a small amount of pocket money each week, that they could spend on whatever they wanted to. The best way to teach them the value of money and responsibility, he thought, would be to allow them to discover it for themselves. And besides, if it's their money, who is he to tell them how to spend it? After all, no one tells him how to spend his money. He earns his money, and they'll earn theirs. To Severus, that's all there is to it, and all there should be to it too.
