**Ch 20 Discovery**

**Charlie's POV**

We stood inside the door as Bella and Edward talked. Nobody made a sound not even the tigers that lay around the chair. I knew Bella wasn't going to poor her heart out, since it has been guarded for so long. But I am proud of her for understanding what Edward had said and I believe it has given both of them comfort. My little girl has grown into such an outstanding young woman, and I just know one day I will have to say goodbye. I looked up to see that she and Edward were cuddling on the chair. I was glad. A father can only take so much of watching his daughter of PDA. We gave them a few more minutes before we walked over to them. I saw Bella lean up to Edward's ear, "As for James thought about me and him I don't mind trying them out with you once we reach that point in our relationship." She said. I saw Edward's eyes darken and a growl slip between his lips. "I can't wait." He replied. I don't want to know. Bella and Edward hopped out of the chair and before one of the other guys could take it I jumped in it.

"Aw Charlie, that's so unfair I called it when we were at the pool." Emmett whined. "I'm sorry Emmett first come first serve and I haven't even got a chance to sit in it since we got here." I told him. He grumbled and stomped his foot before walking over to Rosalie. "Did you really just stomp your foot?" I asked before breaking out into rounds of laughter. "Yes old man, I stomp my foot if you got a problem with it come down and do something about it." He said taunting me. "No thank you I'm quite comfortable." I said smugly. "Anyways, how about we get back to the matter at hand? What happens now and what about Laurent." Jasper asked. "I already told you what is going to happen with Laurent. As for the other matter we can all head back to Forks and go back to school. That way we won't have to answer question about not being in school for two weeks and I still need to practice." Bella said. "No, he is not staying with you!" Edward yelled. All she did was look at Edward and raise an eyebrow. They stared into each other's eyes not blinking until he sighed. "Fine but I'm staying with you then." He said in a way which left no room or argument, but obviously she didn't care. "How about this instead; If you come over stay while Laurent is over I will not kiss you, I will not hold your hand at school, or sit with you at lunch, and I will go to prom with Jacob." She growled.

He stared at her like; he has been saving up to buy the car of his dreams only to be told that they have discontinued it, and just sold the last one. I was trying so hard not to laugh when Emmett and Jasper broke into a fit of laughter. That was the straw that broke the camel's back and everybody joined in. "Why would you do that?" he choked out. "Because Edward, that is the first thing you need to learn is trust. If I can trust you that nothing is going on between you and Tanya than you need to trust me alone with Laurent." She stated firmly. He nodded in defeat. "Um...I'm sorry to interrupt but do I get a say in this?" Laurent asked. "Oh where are my manners of course you get a say. You can either choose to stay with me as you change your diet or you can join James and Victoria in hell it's your decision." Bella told him. "Oh okay I'll go with you then." He said. "Good choice." She said.

"That is a good idea Bella I'm expecting we should be getting a phone call in a few days time about Renee and Phil." I said quietly. Bella looked away from the rest of the group. I started to climb down the chair when Laurent spoke. "Bella, I'm really sorry about your mother and step-father. I really do wish I can take it back. At first we weren't suppose to harm them. We only came to claim you, but when James found out you was no longer there he snapped, and snapped both their necks before feeding off your mother, and instructing Victoria and myself to do the same to the man. We just finished we you called." He explained. Bella didn't say anything or turn around for a while. "Thank you for telling me Laurent. I really do appreciate knowing that neither of them suffered. Midnight come on a walk with me baby." She said still not looking at us as Midnight approached her. Without a glance or an excuse me she and Midnight left out the theatre and out the dome.
