**Ch 37 The Coach **

**Bella's POV**

After I let the others out we all met at the front of the truck. It didn’t go unnoticed by the looks I saw the others throwing at Emmett. He on the other hand didn’t seem to care because he was currently kissing Rose's neck. “So this is what is going to happen, if you guys need to hunt now will be the time. When ya’ll get back we are going to have a light lunch and hang out until it’s time for dinner.” I told everyone. Before we could go our separate way Rose spoke up. “Emmett I want you to be honest with me right now. Is there anything that is bothering you and does it involve me?” she asked. He shot me a look and I nodded at him. “No Rose nothing is the matter. I have been thinking about some stuff lately and I guess I just couldn’t take it anymore, so I went to Bella for help. Before you ask why I didn’t go to you I can't tell you that just yet, but I will. Bella helped me a lot and I'm perfectly at ease now that I figured things out.” He said cuffing her face with his gigantic hands.

She sighed and kissed his palms. “Okay baby, thank you Bella for helping him.” She said and I just shrugged and smiled. “It was no problem his is like a brother to me so I don’t mind.” I told her. After that all the vampires went to hunt. Leaving the rest of us to relax, I went into to coach and made us some sandwiches and a fruit salad. When I was finished I made some iced tea and brought it out to the picnic tables along with the other food. When I got back with the plates the others have returned from their hunting trip. I looked around making sure that there weren’t any nosy people around before letting my babies come out and stretch their legs. I got them some food and went to sit down to eat my lunch. We sat in silence for a little while before Charlie broke it. “Bella are you going to tell us where we are going?” he asked, but since I'm not talking to him still I didn’t reply.

“Bella you are being ridiculous right now.” He grumbled. My head snapped up in his direction. “I am being ridiculous, really, says the person that was talking about matters that didn’t concern him. Charles, what you fail to realize is that I am not a naive teenager that you have to worry about finding in bed with her boyfriend while you’re gone or while you’re asleep down the hall. You should know I am not that kind of person. Yes this is the first time that I happen to be physically attracted to someone and a vampire none the less, but you should know me better than that. We had this discussion, when I came back home from my first day of school when you and mom both accused me of being irresponsible, so remind me how that ended.” I said standing up from the table.

“Bella it is not about you being responsible or not; it just the fact that I don’t want my little girl to grow up.” He said standing up. I sighed walking over to him. “Dad I will always be your little girl. Even after you find your soul mate and I have babies of my own. You are my dad and that won't ever change. But you have to let me live my life and make my own mistakes, because that is the only way I will be able to grow and hopefully become the person I am meant to be.” I told him. “I know and I am sorry I will try to back off but you need to understand that you will always be my little girl and it is programmed into all fathers to protect their little girl and that was all I was trying to do.” He replied pulling me into a hug.

When we pulled apart I realized that I had another problem to deal with. Edward was currently being held back by Jasper, Emmett, Laurent and Carlisle. “What the hell is going on now?!” I said exasperated. “To be honest I have absolutely no idea. One minute he was depressed because you refused to talk to him and the next he gone berserk. I don’t even know how to categorize his emotions right now.” Jasper said in a strained voice which is very hard for a vampire might I add. I moved towards them while I spoke to the others. “It looks like we will be finishing our lunch inside, so if the rest of you can grab the food and head back into the coach we will be there in a minute.” I said as I stopped in front of the boys.
