**Ch 24 Big Mistake**

**Bella's POV**

Pulling into the school was a task in itself. There was a crowd by the front doors. I have a bad feeling about this. I got out and headed over to the front door just to stop dead in my tracks. Oh. My. God. Standing there surrounded by the female population of the school was Edward. He was standing in there in black and green chucks. He wore the solid black low rise jeans that I can still picture his delectable V-Shape. A button down green shirt that I can barely make out the black undershirt paired with a black tie and shades. Was he trying to give me a fucking heat stroke? I think I have drool running down from the corner of my lips. Yep it is most definitely drool. I was brought out of my daze by Lauren and Jessica leaning towards him.

I stormed up the steps pushing them out of my way and pulling him by the tie. "Mine." I looked him dead in the eyes before kissing him. I pulled back before we could go any further. "Bella what are you wearing?" he growled in my ear. I looked up at him. "What this is completely innocent dress compared to what I could be wearing right now. I mean this covers up everything except my shoulders and neck. What do you want me to do come to school in a damn turtleneck dress? Mom always said if you got it flaunt in and baby I got it." I told him doing a cha-cha number in front of him when the bell rung. He walked me to class before heading to his own. Hmm maybe my gut is wrong this time and nothing going to happen. You know there is a first for everything.

I was sitting in 3rd period when my cell went off. I took it out to see that Charlie was calling; only to have it snatched from my hand by the teacher. I got up and grabbed it back. "What do you think you are doing, Mr. Varner?!" I shouted. "Confiscating you cell Ms. Diamond now give it back." He said in a bored tone. I rolled my eyes. "Why would you confiscate the Chief of police's daughter cell when he is calling?" I asked before answering and telling him to hold on for a minute, and waited for him to answer. "I didn't know that who it was." He said. "I can understand you taking my cell if I was texting but not when I'm receiving a call. Just like other people in this class that has people that need to get in contact with them in a situation. Ask them who is calling before you just assume and take. Now if you will excuse me I need to see what is going on." I said walking out the room to the parking lot so I won't disturb the surrounding classes.

"Yes dad what's up?" I asked sitting on the front steps. "Bella I just got the call in about your mother and phil. What do you want me to tell them to do about the bodies?" he spoke in a pained voice. I knew he was hoping that it wasn't true, but this just confirmed it all. I took a couple deep breaths to help with the onslaught on tears from spilling over. "Tell them to cremate the bodies and send them to your house. Can you get the chief down there to lock off the house? I don't want a damn soul in that house after they finish their investigation, and please don't let them draw on the floor around their bodies like you see in those stupid police shows." I pleaded as I heard the bell signaling the start of 4th period. "Sure bells. I have one more thing to tell you though and I know you not going to like it, but please try to control your temper. I would really like to not have to come up there." He asked.

"I don't know what you are going to tell me so how do you plan for me to promise you something like that." I shot back. "Bella this is all I'm asking for you to do, if you can't handle it then leave school okay." He replied. "Fine whatever what is it you have to tell me?" I grumbled. "Somehow the word got out about your mother and Phil and I'm pretty sure that some of the kids parents already told them, so please control your temper." He pleaded. Shit! "Dad I will try but I'm not guaranteeing you a thing. I'll behave if they are offering their condolences but if one of them says something negative I am not going to be ahold accountable for what I do." I snapped at him. "That's all I ask thank you." He said. "Yeah dad. I got to get back to class. I'll talk to you later." I said standing up before hanging up after his bye. With a few more deep breaths I headed back to Mr. Varner's classroom to gather my belongings.
