Steve walked leading Natasha and Olwen to their next destination.
"Where on earth are we going," Olwen asked.
"I know someone who could help us; even if it's for a short while," Steve said.
"Can this person be trusted not to turn us in to S.H.I.E.L.D," Olwen asked again.
"Yeah. He's a good man. I met him while jogging. Every morning, I usually run into him. He's a really friendly guy. You will find that you can trust him to keep you safe," Steve said.
"If Captain America can speak highly of a man that I have never met before, then he must be a goodman," Olwen said.
Natasha laughed at that. "Oh O, you haven't heard the way Steve speaks about his childhood friend, Bucky. Steve is always speaking highly of him."
Olwen gave Steve a confused look. "You never mentioned a guy named Bucky. Where is he? I would love to meet him."
"Unfortunately, Bucky died back in 1944. He was part of the Howling Commandos. And we were on a mission to infiltrate Hydra ant take over the train that had important weapons being transporter. Anyway, we were ambushed, and a hole was blown in the side of the train. Bucky was sucked out, hanging on the rail for dear life. I reached out of the train to save him. But I could barely reach him. I maneuvered to give him my hand. As he was reaching for my hand, the handle he was hanging onto gave way; and Bucky fell off the side of the train all the way down the cliff. He died from the fall. He was a good man who gave his life," Steve explained.
"I'm so sorry for bringing him up. I didn't know he passed away," Olwen said as Steve led Olwen and Natasha to the house.
"It's fine. You didn't know," Steve said before walking up the steps, knocking on the door.
"Are you sure this is a good idea," Olwen asked beginning to feel on edge.
"It's okay O. If Steve says we're safe with this guy, then we're safe. Nobody is going to come after us," Natasha said in a comforting tone while pulling Olwen into a hug.
Steve stood there watching Natasha and Olwen before turning his attention to the door as it opened to reveal Sam. "Hey. Can we please come in?"
Natasha looked to the door with a serious look on her face as she held a frightened Olwen. "Everyone we know is after us."
"Not everyone. Come inside," Sam said allowing the trio to enter the home.
Sam led the trio to the guest bedroom where they all showered before making their way out to the kitchen, where they all sat around, as Steve filled Sam in as to what was going on.
"What's the deal with her," Sam asked nodding his head towards Olwen.
Steve took a quick glance to Olwen, who kept her gaze down, before turning back to Sam. "She was found in an abandoned lab at Hydra, frozen. When they defrosted her, she was a bit on the skittish side and only took to Natasha. But as she learned to trust us more and more, Olwen was opening up about her time with Hydra and all that they have done to her. She also speaks about her handler on rare occasion. But she doesn't give too many details about him. It's obvious that she's terrified of her handler."
Sam nodded in understanding. "She was abused. Of course she will fear the man who put her through hell. I just feel bad that she can't seem to escape from him."
"It doesn't help that Hydra tried to destroy us, and came looking or Olwen. I just wish I knew what they plan on doing with her, once they got their hands on her," Steve said.
