Agent Black's eyes remained fixed on Jackson's phone as Nolan continued analyzing the data.

Reynolds secured the perimeter, his gaze scanning the surrounding area.

Jackson's nervous breathing filled the room.

Suddenly, a faint sound echoed through the safe house: Thwip.

The noise was subtle, almost imperceptible.

Agent Black's head snapped up, her instincts screaming warning.

Nolan and Reynolds exchanged concerned glances.

Jackson's eyes widened, his mouth opening in silence.

A small, neat hole appeared in his forehead.

Agent Black's heart sank.

"Jackson!" she shouted, rushing to his side.

Reynolds and Nolan sprang into action, securing the area.

But it was too late.

Jackson's lifeless body slumped backward, his eyes frozen in shock.

The room fell silent.

A sniper's precision shot had taken Jackson's life without anyone noticing until the sound.

Agent Black's gaze locked onto the window.

A faint reflection revealed the sniper's escape route.

"Find him!" Agent Black barked.

Reynolds and Nolan sprinted out of the safe house.

Agent Black's eyes lingered on Jackson's body.

Merodach's message was clear: Silence was golden.

As they pursued the sniper, Agent Black's phone buzzed.

"Evelyn's on the move," her tech expert reported.

Agent Black's gaze hardened. "Track her."

The stakes escalated.

Agent Black turned to Nolan. "Hack into nearby surveillance cameras. I want Evelyn's location."

Nolan's fingers flew across his keyboard.

Reynolds radioed in. "Units, be advised. Evelyn's considered armed and dangerous."

Suddenly, Nolan's eyes widened. "Agent Black, I've got Evelyn's location."

"Where?" Agent Black demanded.

"Abandoned warehouse, 5th and Main," Nolan replied.

Agent Black's team sprang into action.

Reynolds and Nolan sprinted through the streets, pursuing the sniper.

"Keep moving!" Reynolds shouted.

Nolan's phone crackled. "Agent Black, we've got a lead."

"Where?" Agent Black demanded.

"Rooftop, three blocks east," Nolan replied.

Agent Black joined the chase.

As they closed in, the sniper vanished.

Reynolds cursed. "Lost him."

Nolan's eyes scanned the rooftops. "He's still here."

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows.

Evelyn.

"Agent Black," Evelyn said, her voice dripping with malice. "You're persistent."
