I reached my room in a matter of minutes. I put on leggings and a t-shirt. I spent the remainder of my day contacting each rebel and telling them to meet up with the rest of the fleet for special instructions. Phoenix Squadron was told to escort the Lothal rebels due to my fear from my recent dream.
When I woke up the next morning, I packed a bag and left to join the fleet. I docked with the command ship and headed towards the bridge.
On the way, I felt a shiver down my spine. I felt an odd cold sensation, something I had only once felt before. It was sort of familiar, but I couldn't figure out when I'd last felt it. There was so much anger and hate. Just as quickly as it had come, the feeling left.
I kept running towards the bridge. People shot me strange looks, but I didn't really have the time to care. I reached the double doors separating myself from the rest of the commanders. I took a deep breath, and walked into the main control room. The captain was already there, and the Ghost crew was just arriving. I was greeted, and we went right to business.
"The rebels of the Lothal system are in danger. If the rebels are to survive as a whole, something has to be done."
"What do you propose? And what sport of danger do you mean?" Hera asked.
"I'm sure Captain Tano is over reacting. The rebels of the Lothal system are always in danger because of the Imperial Officers stationed on Lothal. It has always been this way. We are most grateful to them; you and your crew have proven invaluable to our cause, Captian Syndulla."
The commander always has a way of making himself seem better than myself. I would never have chosen to work with him, but Senator Organa had already reached out to him. Oh well.
I zoned out for the majority of the following conversation. I started paying close attention when the Minister of Lothal contacted us. She wanted safe passage from the planet in exchange for secret Imperial information. She was being honest, but the reason she wanted to leave troubled me. I had a feeling I knew exactly why she so desperately wanted to leave.
Everyone agreed to help, so we all split to prepare ourselves for the mission. I decided to stay with the fleet, but needed to talk to Hera first.
I walked down the hall to the common room. Hera, Kanan, and Zeb were talking to each other. They fell silent when I approached them.
"Hera, may I have a word in private?" I asked.
"Of course."
I sat down while Kanan and Zeb left.
"Hera, we need to talk. I am pretty sure I know exactly why the Minister is contacting you, and I have a very bad feeling about it. Your crew is in real danger, Hera."
"Then why do you think we should help her?"
"This is going to sound really, cruel but the only way to truly figure out what's happening on Lothal is to use you as bait."
"I agree. You sounded really worried back in the command center, and commander-"
"He doesn't know about my Jedi status, or else I would recieve much more respect from him. I've been having dreams about a Sith Lord, and every time, something has happened to your crew. The minister wants to leave out of fear of this Sith, I'm sure of it."
"So, what you're saying is in order to get this Sith to get his hands dirty, we have to do some damage. Then we would have to leave."
"That's what I believe to be the best option. If it sounds too risky for your crew, you don't have to do this."
"No, we'll do it. We are a part of the rebellion now, so we have to do what's best for the rebellion as a whole."
"Thank you, Hera." We both stood up, and Hera headed towards the door. "May the force be with you, Hera."
