I eventually cut my way out of the lift and made it back to my room. I immediately changed from the dress to yoga pants and a crop top. I wrapped up my ankle and put a brace on it.

I cried myself to sleep, just thinking about the day's events. When I woke up, I threw on some socks to go downstairs. I didn't even bother putting on shoes.

I noticed a note taped to the front of my door. It said my name on the front, and was written in neat handwriting. It read:

Ahsoka-
I have hired a doctor to stay here in the palace to hold regular appointments with the residents. She will be coming by your room at 11:00 standard time. Thanks for your cooperation!
Bail Organa

11:00?! That's in 5 minutes! I stepped back inside my room and closed the door. The place looked like a hurricane had just come through. I quickly stashed the stuff on my floor in my closet and made my bed. Just as I was finishing, someone knocked on the door.

I opened the door to see a Pantoran woman slightly shorter than me. She looked around 18 and had her light pink hair pied back in a loose bun. She wore a white robe with lots of pockets that looked very similar to a lab coat. In her hands was a clipboard with a bunch of papers attached. I gulped.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Alema Eyan. Senator Organa informed you of the new policy, I presume?" she started.

"Yes. Nice to meet you. I'm Ahsoka," I said as we shook hands. "Here, come inside." I held the door open for her as she walked inside. Then, something rather peculiar happened.

Alema walked into the room and sat down on my couch. She was about to place her clipboard down on the coffee table in front of my couch, but paused mid-action. Alema then proceeded to drop everything she was holding to pick up my lightsabers, which I had forgotten to put away.

I sprung into action. I ran over and took the sabers from her hands. "Oh, those are just my-"

"Senator Organa didn't tell me that he was in contact with any other Jedi. I thought I was the only one to survive!"

It took me a minute to process what Alema had just said. She was a Jedi too. Probably a healer, given that she is now a doctor. I smiled. "So you're a Jedi as well?" I confirmed.

"Yeah. I was studying to be a healer at the temple. Not to boast, but the only reason I survived the massacre was because I am pretty gifted with certain healing techniques that worl really well on battlefield wounds. I work as a physician now so that I can keep my skills in shape."

"Well, I guess I'll be an easy check up then!"

"I guess so. First, I have to do some standard check up stuff." She proceeded to check my eyes, throat, ears, etc. for any sign of abnormal stuff. I was perfectly healthy.

Alema then did some other "Jedi" check up stuff. She checked my midi-chlorian count, which was normal. She used the force to scan my entire body for anything that could be a problem.

She didn't have to go far, because she started pointing things out. "You have been under a lot of stress lately. Your brain is working over-time to accomplish simple tasks. When was the last time you slept?"

"I got about 6 hours last night. Thats probably the most sleep I've had in a while."

"Well, that could be a contributing factor. Everything is working properly, but your brain is having trouble keeping up. There is also a large part of your brain that has really developed, based on the information I have copied from the medical wing at the Temple. It's a section of the brain that I have always felt to be dormant in other Jedi. Do you have any ideas as to why this is happening?"

"Yeah," I said. I figured since she was a doctor, it would be ok to tell her the truth about everything. "It's beacuse I'm a force wielder. It's pretty complicated, but I'm the instrument of the spirit of the daughter."

She looked puzzled and made a note on her clipboard to look into force wielders later. "Okay.....that is probably what it is." Alema continued her force scan until she reached my ankle.

"Sprained," I said. She waved her hand in a special pattern over my brace a couple of times, then removed it.

"That should no longer give you any more issues. Give me a call if it does and I can try a different method." I nodded, and she began speaking again.

"Now time for the hard part. What has your life been like since the attack on the temple?

It took me nearly 3 hours for me to fully explain my life since then to Alema. She looked pretty stunned. Surprisingly, she stood up and took my hand.

"If you ever need anything, Ahsoka, anything at all, I'm here for you. You have been through more than most Jedi in their entire lives. It's a lot of stress and a lot to manage. Give me a call, and I'll be there.

"Also," she said, handing me some headband looking thing, "I want you to wear this every night. Since you have so much going on, you are significantly more prone to headaches than anyone else in this building. If you forget to wear it, you might start getting migranes, and those are not fun."

"Alright. Thanks so much for all your help, Alema."

"No problem," she responded while enveloping me in a huge hug. I knew that this was going to be a long-lasting friendship.
