I raised an eyebrow. "I was under the impression Lux was an only child. When I visited your house near the middle of the war, your mother didn't say anything about you."

"That's because I was a Republic supporter. Once she found out, I was thrown out of the house. She never spoke to me again. Lux, on the other hand, called every weekend to talk about stuff."

"Really? That's...interesting...I guess. What did you guys talk about?"

"Loads of stuff. Politics, school, social life, but mostly the war. We talked a lot about you, though. You were very important to him."

"Really? I had no idea."

"We had a bet going, you see. It was obvious to me that he liked you, so I told him I'd give him a lot of money if he kissed you."

"Okay..." I said, kind of interested in where this was going.

"He came to me in person to collect after the Carlacc event. From what I heard, you handled that situation quite well."

I blushed and laughed. "Thanks."

"After the battle of Onderon, I finally got him to admit that he liked you. He told me all about joining the Republic and how he could sometimes see you walking down the halls with your master. He loved his work, and you just happened to be there too.

I smiled, knowing that I had made it a priority to come to all of Lux's big speeches in the Senate. "I have to admit, I was very fond of him ever since we met. The only thing that stood in the way was Jedi Protocol. You will be satisfied to hear, though, that the last conversation we had ended with him kissing me."

He looked surprised. "I didn't think he would get the nerve to actually do it!" He exlclaimed. "How did he die, anyway? You were there, right? I have been told several different things.

I took a deep breath in, then out. "Lux was kidnapped by the Empire for informatiom about the Rebel Alliance. I left as quickly as I could to go and rescue him. Lots of bad stuff happened, and we decided to split up in order to escape." My eyes were beginning to fill with tears.

"I was captured, and the chief bad guy brought Lux into my cell. I'm not supposed to tell anyone this, but I'm a high ranking officer in the Alliance. They have been searching for years trying to get me. I wouldn't tell them anything, so they killed Lux right in front of me. They were going to execute me, but I ended up escaping and coming back here."

He looked stunned. "I had no idea. I'm so sorry. If there's anything I can do to help you, let me know."

"Thanks. I'm sorry for your loss as well," I replied as a tear streaked down my cheek. "It would have been less emotionally horrifying for me had I not just had to deal with the fall of my master and massacre of my Jedi family. I just don't know how much more I can take."

"That reminds me, I have something for you," he said while fishing around his pocket for something. He pulled out a silver locket in the shape of a heart. "I meant to give this to you, if we ever met. I put Lux's picture on one side. Feel free to put yours on the other."

"Thanks, that's really sweet. I-"

I would have said something else, but a large boom echoes through the hall. I stood up and reached for my lightsabers, but was annoyed when I remembered that they were sitting in my room.

I looked over at Jaryn, fastened the locket around my neck, and ran for the door, Jaryn following close behind me. I could sense a presence. One I haven't felt in some time. It was Vader.
