I basically TERRIFIED Alex!!! :(

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry, I was just trying to wake you up..!!"

"Oh my god, why would you do that?!" He exclaimed angrily, rolling his eyes as he got up.

"Like, you know for a fact NOT to do that! You practically gave me a HEART ATTACK!!"

He leaned at my desk, tugging at his hair furiously.

"I'm so sorry..!" Tears came to my eyes.

I was messing up SO MUCH!!

suddenly I heard pounding up the stairs.

Mom flew into the room, standing by the doorway.

"WHAT is happening here?!" She exclaimed, her livid eyes aimed at Alex.

WHY was she here?!

WHY was he like this again?!

I needed to go!!!

"You can't tell me ANYTHING!! You don't even know me! Stay OUT of it!" He screamed at mom.

Her eyes widened as she balled her fists.

"WHAT did you say to me?!"

"You don't know a THING!! I know your mother WELL!! I might not know you, but I know for a FACT that you're a disgusting, horrible PSYCHOPATH that will HURT MY DAUGHTER!!!" A wave of immense nausea fell over me.

I was sure I was sick.

mom ?!

NO NO NO !!!

Panic rushed through me as tears fell from my eyes.

My mom's eyes met mine as a flash of worry flooded through her.

"See! Look what you've done..!! THIS is proof I was right, Evelyn!!" My heart pounded in my ears.

MOM NO !!!!

Shaking, I sped past mom and pounded down the stairs, their voices going quieter the farther I got away.

I WISH HE NEVER CAME!!¹

Eventually I sat down at the sofa holding my knees, crying.

WHY was this happening to me?!

I didn't know WHAT to pray for anymore!!

Mom was FURIOUS at him and probably ME!!

Alex was angry at both of us!!!

I didn't know what to do!!!

After about 4 minutes, my mom sped downstairs, spotting me panicking on the sofa.

A wave of concern washed over her anger as she sat down with me and held me.

"..evelyn.. ..it's okay..!!"

"Is it?! My best friend HATES me, you're angry at me-"

"Evelyn, that was NOT your best friend. And I'm not angry at you.. ..anymore."

My heart softly pounded as I wrapped my arms around her shakily.

"..evelyn, I'm going to call his mother and get him home. You're safe with me."

"..o-okay.." I sniffed, sadness washing over my panic.

"..where is he?"

This was HORRIBLE!!! :(

HIS MOM PROBABLY SUCKED TOO :(

"He's in your room. But you won't be hanging out with him anymore. You'll be okay."

"..mom, are you sure you want to see his mom again? You didn't seem to like her, and she didn't seem to like you."

Her eyes flashed with guilt.

"..no. but we need to get Alex away. ..we won't see her for long anyway."
