♡ Tuesday, September 30/1990 ♡

About a little less than a month later, I woke up to the sound of my mom shouting from downstairs.

"EVELYN!!! IT'S TIME TO WAKE UPPP!!"

"..okay..." I mumbled sleepily, despite her probably not hearing me.

Adjusting through the covers, I blinked tiredly, gazing around my room.

I got up from the bed and slipped on a pair of socks.

Once I made it to my dresser, I pulled on my fan to switch on the light.

It didn't blind me or anything because my window doesn't block out light well. :)

So it wasn't pitch black or anything!

Once I brushed through my hair, I opened the door and went down the stairs, just as mom called again.

"Evelyn!!!"

"I'm downstairs!"

MOM I'M LITERALLY GOING NOW !!! :)

Once I made it to the living room, I sat at the dinner table and rested my head to my hands.

My eyes raised to spot mom cooking pancakes on the stove a few feet away.

I watched as she scooped some into the pan for a moment again and again, the smell of vanilla flooding the room.

The batter laid on the pan, steaming.

Then, it'd get replaced by another scoop, again and again.

"Ooh!! Smells great. When'd you start making pancakes?"

I LOVE PANCAKES !!!!!!!!!!!

THE SMELL OF SYRUP MIXED WITH BUTTER IS EXCELLENT. :)

"..oh yeah! I actually decided to experiment with different types of food today. Eggs gets old after a while."

"Yeah." I giggled. "And of course, we've been having honey bunches of oats for FOREVER. Pancakes would definitely help some kinda variety."

YAY!!!!

"Great. You'll taste it soon." She placed glass floral plates to the table bringing forks and spoons and stuff.

At last, she poured syrup over the pancakes, sitting down.

As she took a bite, she stared at me.

Did she need to say something ??

I took a bite.

THE PANCAKES WERE SO GOOD :)

They were SO sweet, with hints of vanilla and the syrup just complimented it!!! :)

"These are SO good." I smiled. "I can tell they took a while! I can taste the syrup well too. Very good!!"

She smiled satisfyingly. "Great. Thank you. I like them too."

"Also, Evelyn."

"Yeah?"

"We need to talk about something."

A wave of anxiety rushed through me.

"..yes..??"

OH NO WHAT WAS IT?!
