🌿first day of school - LUNCH

SCIENCE CLASS IS NEXT!!! :)

"Oh, by the way! Would you like to come with to me to science class in 30 minutes?? Do we even go to the same class??" I giggled.

He smiled a little as his mint-green eyes met mine with this.. sweet.. look about him.

HAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! :)

A surge of excited, hyper energy hit me immediately.

"Sure, Evelyn. And yes, we go to the same science class. We also go to the same art class too."

"Alright!! That's SO amazing!! What's the class you do BEST in?!"

"I honestly fail in pretty much all classes. But I guess I prefer English."

"ME TOO!!!!" I giggle happily.

Even though I actually think I'm doing okay in the classes!! :)

..hopefully.

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA :)

"..in fact, my mom actually got really angry at me for a long time when I almost got expelled from falling it all. She yelled at me for a while and I had to study super well for like, a week."

Oh no !!! :( His mom IS pretty mean.

"I'm so sorry, Alex. Did she apologize?"

"No." He rested his head on his hand, holding him up from the table.

Maybe there was a way I could save him FOREVER.

Like, I could completely take him away from his mom and his anger and everything.

And then we could be best friends forever. With nobody stopping us forever. :)

"Alex..?" I gazed to him as our eyes met.

OH MY GOSH HE'S LOOKING AT ME.

"Yes?"

"How do we hang out forever and not have any of our moms know? How do we stay best friends forever?"

It felt like the world just didn't want us together.

Why?? :(

"I don't know, Evelyn. Maybe one day we can be together forever. How about we go somewhere after school??"

"Yeah! Let's totally do it! How far is the nearest resturant? IF you have the money.. sorry!! I've got NONE."

"uh.. about 30 minutes away."

So it looks like everything's too far to just WALK, and none of our moms would EVER let us go!! :(

And I don't know about his mom, but MY mom is way too paranoid to let me go somewhere like a restaurant alone.

Especially with a boy.

ESPECIALLY with Alex.

We sat there in silence, thinking.

"Well, we could always walk..anyway. even though we'll have to cross roads and stuff."

EVEN FOR ME IT'S A LITTLE DANGEROUS.. :(

"Mm, I think we should call eachother once we get home." I thought aloud.

"My mom won't come home until 4 pm. She's a nurse so she does 12 HOUR SHIFTS. Crazy, huh?! We could hang out until she gets home?"

"But I live an hour away from you. I'll be able to hang out with you for about 30 minutes."

OH YEAH I FORGOT..

I LIVE FOREVER AWAY FROM HIM.

"I'm only at this school because my mom put in the wrong address. The school thinks I'm in Aldrich. Not Perham."

"Oh!" I giggled. "How sneaky!! Why'd you do that?"

"Well, my mom did it herself, actually. She's totally obsessed with your mom. Constantly rants to someone one the telephone about it. Personally, I think it's to be closer in distance to her."

Digging in his pocket, he placed a crumpled, ripped piece of paper with some writing on it in different fonts.

One font was black and sleek, while the other was pink and bubbly.

Hmm... :)

"This is a note I found on mom's dresser. It looks old, like 10 years ago old. Do you have anything?"

Just as I opened my mouth to speak, his head turned to face me so our eyes met.

NO, NO. FORGET 'MEET'. OUR EYES BECAME FRIENDS.

We just gazed at eachother for about 20 seconds until his face went red.

"Uh...do you like me?"

"No! Not at all..!! Do you??" I giggled frantically.

OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY

"No!" his eyes turned to face the paper quickly in embarrassment.

HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE

I didn't like him! Not like that! :)

But I had to admit, it was KIND of funny to see him get flustered. Something about it made me want to laugh in a way.

ANYWAY

"Uh haha.. anyway, this paper.." I turned my eyes to the paper, and held it softly.

"I think it's from my mom to YOUR mom. Look."

Our eyes scanned the words as I read it out loud. :)

" 'Hey, Manora, do you wanna stop by for ice cream?

Yes, sure! When?

After school! I'm totally getting cherry.

Oh, I see. I'm probably getting either cherry coconut or rocky road.

Oh my God, yes!!! I'm totally getting cherry coconut. You should too!

Alright, then. We'll go at 3:30 PM. Sounds good?

Okay!!' "

We turned to face eachother with determined eyes.

"Your mom is Madison, right?"

"Yeah. Yours is Manora, right?"

"Yeah! So they were going together for ice cream. It sounded like they loved eachother very much!" I giggled happily, taking the note to my backpack before Alex's eyes go wide.

"Evelyn, stop! That's MY note! Here." He snatched the note away from me and put it in his pocket.

aww.. :( well I shouldn't have even taken it first.

The bell rang loudly, almost shattering my ears for the second time today.

"Come on! Science class." I smiled brightly.

THIS WAS SO AWESOME!!! :)

I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME TOGETHER. :)
