“What was that thing I saw at the flower shop?” Danielle asked the next day.
Although Hanni hadn't said it, Danielle sensed that Hanni had felt desperate that day.
She didn't want to kill her with new thoughts, and she understood that it was better to talk to her the next morning when things had calmed down.
Hanni grabbed a handful of cereal and poured it into the almost finished glass of milk.
A few pieces came out but she didn't bother to take them. She mixed it with a spoon, as if she didn't want to listen to it.
"Hanni, I don't like it when people ignore me, you know that" Danielle said noticing no signs of life from the woman.
And as if she didn't know it, Hanni had experienced this and didn't want to see Danielle go crazy.
“It's an old story,” Hanni shrugged.
"Stop being mysterious," Danielle said boredly in turn, throwing her hand on the table almost willing to shake Hanni's soul once and for all. A disconcerted breath escaped Hanni's mouth, almost hating her friend's attitude, but she wasn't entirely wrong, she was becoming really unpleasant towards her like this.
After all, they had been friends for a long time and had dreams to pursue together, so telling her wouldn't be a bad thing.
“Stop asking me,” Hanni said. Maybe it was something she had in her head, that everything she thought was transformed into an action in reverse. Danielle cursed in a whisper, slamming her hands on the table.
She heard the intercom knock and without even waiting for Hanni to look at her, she got up and went to answer it.
She opened the door and to her surprise met Kang Haerin in front of her.
She no longer had her briefcase in her hands and was wearing simple black pants and a black t-shirt with Boston written on it.
She must have had some pleasure in that city, but Danielle loved seeing a beautiful woman in front of her first thing in the morning.
She definitely wasn't here for Hanni's grandmother, as it was still early and above all the lady was still sleeping.
Danielle placed her hand against the wall near the door threshold, with a mischievous look smiled at the woman who seemed to follow every move Danielle made.
"Good morning," Haerin said, not moving an inch.
“Good morning to you too,” Danielle replied, running a hand through her loose locks.
She had attached her hair with a clip, she gathered her hair softly behind her neck but the two unruly locks still remained on her face.
Haerin looked at her for a while, marveling at the woman's youthful appearance.
"I didn't introduce myself properly last time..." Haerin said coughing slightly to draw the woman's attention to her speech.
Danielle smiled kindly, putting herself together.
Haerin closed hers eyes slightly and slowly bent down with class, "I am Kang Haerin, architect and friend of the woman who has been heartbroken for years because of your friend" she said immediately after.
She stood up feeling Danielle's gaze above her.
This time it wasn't a seductive look, but rather a surprised look. What Haerin was saying didn't make sense to Danielle.
“I would like to talk to your friend,” Haerin said, taking her shoes off her feet and entering the house.
She knew the way to the center of the house well.
