It was cold and Hanni lay down in bed with a book in her hand, hoping to fall asleep without any problems, since she had to go to work earlier than expected tomorrow.

Danielle was at the foot of the bed with her phone in her hand, laughing sometimes at the videos that came out on the screen.

Hanni looked at her angrily, sometimes giving her a pat on the leg to make her stop moving.

Danielle also had an early job tomorrow but she didn't bother going to sleep.

Suddenly Hanni's phone rang, although the number that appeared on the screen didn't please her, she had to accept the call.

She didn't say anything, she took the phone and started fighting against herself for not to scream in anger.

It was her father who was surely calling her to tell her that he had arranged another date for her. Which was rightly wrong for Hanni since she wanted to be free to do what she wanted and choose who to marry without the help of her stupid stingy father.

"Hanni, you don't understand who called me!" Her father said happily on the other end of the phone. Hanni shook her head negatively even though her father couldn't see it.

Who the hell was the person who called her father?

Some pensioner or a slacker billionaire?

No, it could have been some rich guy's son who wanted a quick girlfriend for a party.

Hanni's father was sometimes tricked by these men, and Hanni found herself dating teenagers who wanted a date for the school dance.

Luckily her father became more experienced as the months passed, but it was still a lost cause.

"I didn't even want to answer at first!" Her father said again. Hanni huffed, tired of hearing her father create unnecessary suspense.

Whoever it was would never satisfy Hanni, because she didn't want to be satisfied by anyone.

"Who comes to mind when I say oil?" Her father concluded, making Hanni's hopes zero.

So Minji really did call her father for a date.

"Dad, I don't want to go," Hanni said, scratching her head a little in nervousness. She didn't want to go out with Minji and she didn't want to break her heart again.

"Hanni! This is a golden opportunity. Do you understand how rich this person is? Kim Minji is the woman of the moment, you know that people kill themselves to get a nod from her for their investments! That woman is rich enough to make you cry," she said out loud without scruples.

Her father was a materialistic miser.

He could kill men for their money. Hanni sighed, tired of the arguments with her father that were always repetitive and always with the same ending. She could have said yes and then not gone, but her father would have haunted her for the rest of her life.

"I'll try."

"No! You have to succeed. This person is a Korean excellence, don't let her get away," the man said, interrupting his daughter.

Ah, Hanni wanted to tell him that she had rejected this woman many times and even if she did, it came back like a boomerang.

Minji was not a woman to be used but appreciated.

Her father immediately hung up the phone and Hanni was left in her thoughts.

"Do you have another date?" Danielle asked with a flirtatious smile knowing that the woman would explode in a few seconds telling how selfish and unpleasant her father was.
