Chapter 7:

Leo stayed home the rest of the week sick and I told everyone at school I had sprained my ankle in martial arts. They believed me so there was one thing off my chest. Now that me and Leo were apart we texted each other all day. We talked about everything and anything. And when my parents weren't home Leo would sneak over to see me and I would teach him what we learned in class that day. We spent the weekend apart without texting because my parents were home. I hid my phone and turned it off. I was so happy when Monday arrived, I was done being grounded and I could see Leo again. We walked to school together smiling like never before. Everything was great until Cassandra March came up to me and Leo after school. We didn't get along since everything she wanted I had or could get without trying. Well she began to speak with Leo, totally ignoring me. Cassandra was twisting her hair and biting her lip when I accidentally caught Leo's eye. He could see the anger in my eyes so I quickly turned away. I looked back again and found Leo starring at me again. I felt uncomfortable so I walked away. Just as I exited the school Leo called my name.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Let's go for a walk." He said grabbing my hand.

He took me to a trail in the woods and then said "We should talk."

"About what?" I asked.

"We'll I've been meaning to do this." Leo said stopping.

He grabbed my waist and pulled me in close, then he kissed me.

His warmth filled me up and I was over joyed.

"What about Cassandra?" I asked stupidly.

"I don't like her," Leo said," I even told her I had to go because my girl friend was waiting."

I blushed madly and kissed Leo.

"I don't remember you asking me to be your girlfriend?" I said teasing him.

"Oh yeah," Leo laughed, "Karla would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?"

"Of course." I smiled.
