Chapter 21:

A month later I was forced to move away.

I had angry fans visit me, paparazzi follow me to school, hate mail delivered, my house was vandalized.

I just couldn't take it anymore.

"We're moving." My dad declared one day as he scrubbed "Bitch" off of the garage door.

"Yes." My mom agreed as she hugged me to keep me from crying.

....

I scrolled through my iPhone as we followed our moving truck across town.

"I hope you're all satisfied with yourselves" Leo tweeted,"You've not only ruined a relationship but two people's lives."

I swallowed hard and turned off my phone.

And that was the last I ever saw or heard of Leo.

I had to block his twitter, delete his number, and lock Disney XD on my tv.

I know none of this is his fault but it breaks my heart to hear his name or see his face.

On my first day, at my new school, in my new town I got weird looks. To them and everyone else I'm Leo Howard's ex, not Karla Sanders. I had given up all hope that day to be normal again when a boy approached me after school.

"Hey I'm Ben." The boy smiled.

He had long brown hair, blue eyes and deep dimples.

"Karla." I smiled back trying not to laugh.

Did he really not know who I was or was he joking?

"Hey Karla, I see you're new here."

"Yeah I am."

He leaned back and forth on the toes of his foot,"Have you been given a tour yet?"

"No, I was waiting for someone from student council named Tanner to give me one." I said looking at a piece of paper a teacher gave me.

"I'm Ben Tanner." He grinned.

My mouth dropped a little and then I grinned back,"You're late."

And that was my first friendship after Leo.
