Seetha
Wiping my damp hair with a towel as I stood before the mirror, I blushed at the memory of our moments together in the rain.
My gaze drifted to the window, and after setting the towel down on the bed, I opened the windows to see the rain still pouring heavily. I looked toward his house terrace, but the downpour made it impossible to see anything clearly.
Smiling to myself, I turned away and picked up my phone from the table, unplugging it from the charger. I unlocked the screen and switched on the internet, only to be greeted by a flood of messages and notifications.
As I swiped through them one by one, my eyebrows furrowed when I saw,
"Professor has requested to follow you..."
Frowning, I tapped the notification to see a profile picture of a man in a black-and-white striped shirt. I gasped, realizing who it was.
Without a second thought, I hit "follow back" button and quickly dialed his number.
(I think he's taking a bath, dear. I'll tell him to call you later)
The same old man's voice.
"Okay uncle"
"Uncle?"
His voice came in a teasing tone, and I couldn't help but smile as I replied,
"Naan ungakitta pesanum, mama. Unga number thara mudiyumaa?"
(I need to talk to you, mama. Could you give me your number?)
"Enkitta neenga enna venaa pesalaam, ma. Aana oru vishyam mattum avane sonnaa dha correct'aah irukkum. So, naan number tharen, Mrs. Aayush, aana vera yedhuvum enkitta kekka koodaadhu. Okay'ah ungalukku?"
(You can talk to me about anything. But for one particular thing, it would be best if he tells you directly. So, I'll give you the number, Mrs. Aayush, but don't ask me anything else. Is that okay with you?)
