The first day of our honeymoon passed beautifully, and the second day left us utterly exhausted-we hadn't gotten a single blink of sleep the night before.

Because, I, she, and we-just couldn't get enough of each other.

Gently slipping her hand off my waist, I carefully got down from the bed and went to freshen up before preparing a quick brunch for us-it was already 12:30 noon.

Once done, I headed back to the room to wake her up, but as I opened the door, I froze in place.

There she stood before the mirror, wrapped in nothing but a towel-not even a bathrobe.

Biting my lip, I sighed, locking the door behind me. She turned to look at me but simply continued applying concealer over the hickeys I had gifted her.

Standing behind her, I slowly wrapped my arms around her waist and rested my chin on her shoulder, smiling at her through the mirror. She smiled back, and I pressed a soft kiss on her shoulder, murmuring,

"Where is my lady getting ready?"

"Getting ready'ah? Naane neenga nekku kodutha art work'laa maraikka try panneedu irukken"

(Getting ready? I'm just trying to hide the artwork you gave me)

She sulked.

I chuckled, replying,

"Appo nee kuduthadha naan enna paapa pandradhu?"

(Then what should I do with the one you gave me?)

As expected, her smile widened, and she said,

"En appa enna apdidha koopduvaa"

(My dad calls me that)

"Apdiyaa? Enakku theriyaadhu paaren. Ippodha unna paakuren. Nee enkitta yerkanave idhellaa solla maatiyaa, ma?"

(Is that so? I didn't know. I'm looking at you right now. Weren't you supposed to say all this to me already, dear?)

I asked, sarcastically.

She grinned sheepishly and said,

"Illa chumma sonnen. Seri adha vidungo. Nethu enna yen neenga thoonga vidala?"

(No, I just said it. Okay, leave that. Why didn't you let me sleep last night?)

I straightened up, instantly, looking at her through the mirror in disbelief.

"Idhenna di ennamo nee enna thoongu thoongu'nu sonna maadhiriyum, naan unna thoonga vidaadha maadhiriyum kekura?"

(What is this? You're asking as if you kept begging me to sleep and I was the one who didn't let you?)

She pressed her lips together.

I continued,

"Neeyum dhane nalla co-operate panna? Adhuvum andha Yen'nah nu solluva paaru nee..."
