" tom demanded in anger "I am the true heir of Slytherin" Dahlia smirked, showing off her heir ring. The basilisk curled around them protectively, hissing at tom, "No! I'm the heir of Slytherin! Me! " tom yelled, raising Harry's wand, Dahlia grabbed Tom's diary $Bite thissss$ she told the basilisk, the basilisk pierced the diary with her fangs, tom doubled over, dropping Harry's wand as light pierced through him

"Are we going to have to get a basilisk? " James asked lily and Regulus worried, "that's your concern right now? Our kids defeated Voldemort a second time and your worried about if we need to get a basilisk? " lily demanded, incredulously. "Well when you put it like that" James said sheepishly, "I think what he is trying to say is, are we going to have to get, an extremely dangerous and very illegal snake for our children, and he's focusing on that so he doesn't have to think about the fact our children just defeated the dark Lord again" Regulus said, James nodded quickly, that was exactly what he had meant.
Ginny woke up with a start, harry was at her side immediately "Harry, it was me. But, I swear, I didn't mean to... Riddle made me. And..." She started, clearly on the verge of hyperventilating, "shh, it's ok Ginny, It's all right,It's over. It's just a memory, a bad nightmare" he soothed, holding her in his arms. "She says she's sorry, she had never wanted to hurt anyone but she was powerless to ignore his commands" Dahlia said, petting the basilisk softly, "I know how she feels, I forgive her" Ginny said softly, hesitantly rubbing her scales as well. She opened a cave for the basilisk, allowing her to roam the black lake and the forest once again, the three made their way back through the chamber, Blaise saw them first, he ran over pulling Dahlia into a right hug, Ron hugged Ginny tightly. "Thank Merlin your ok" Blaise breathed out in relief, "I'm ok flame" she said softly, they looked into each other's eyes, slowly moving closer, "alright, let's get out of here" Ron said, oblivious to the moment he had just ruined.
Ron blushed crimson, sinking down into his seat, "sorry" he murmured, "it's alright, we still love ya" Dahlia laughed, Blaise gave him a mock glare. "Honestly Ron's a major mood ruined" ginny teased as her and harry reentered the room, Molly pulled her into a hug, reminding herself that she was ok, that she was alive.
Blaise shot him a glare before they started walking back to the entrance, Lockhart trailing behind them, they made it up the stairs, appearing back in the bathroom. "Blaise, go make that letter, on and make sure Amelia bones is informed of the peacocks actions" Dahlia said, Blaise nodded, squeezing her hand before going in a different direction than them. From there they made their way to the headmaster's office, walking inside, ginny ran into Arthur's arms, Molly and Arthur holding her tightly, Dahlia tossed the diary onto the desk, Dumbledore paled as he looked at it. "Sir, Ginny's going to need Help, I can't imagine what it must have felt like to be possessed for that long" Dahlia said, after they had explained what happened. "Now now, time with her family should-" "no, she needs to be seen by a mind healer, why are you refusing to get her help" Harry interrupted, "you don't want anyone to know, what exactly is this book and why could it contain a soul shard Dahlia demanded, her eyes narrowing. " you are too young to-" "Weather you tell us or not, Ginny is going to see a mind healer, I'll pay for it myself, if you interfere in this headmaster, I will inform madam bones that you are interfering with the well being of a minor" Dahlia interrupted, her voice firm.
The parents didn't know weather to be proud, in awe or to scold her, on one hand she stood up for someone, was willing to do everything, secondly she stood up to Dumbledore, not backing down, however Dumbledore was headmaster and she shouldn't undermine his authority.
