Better Be.....

The kids put away their games as the train came to stop, "we're here" Hermione smiled brightly "let's go" Dahlia smiled, getting off with the others, the group made their way across the platform. "First years over here!" A voice boomed drawing their attention "Hagrid!"  Dahlia and Harry exclaimed as they hugged the half giant. "Draco" dahlia said warningly, catching his sneer forming, she shot looks at the others too before they could react. "Four to a boat" Hagrid said, stopping at the docks, Blaise helped Dahlia into a Boat before joining her, Hermione and Ron Joining as well. Harry hid a laugh as he could practically feel the fireworks going off in dahlia's head at having her One, Touch her. Harry got into a boat with Draco, Pansy and Phineas, Leaving Theo and Neville to take a seperate boat. "Woah" the kids said, looking at the castle as they went along the lake, Dahlia and Harry felt at home, magic surrounded them, Dahlia saw the golden waves of magic wrap them in a warm magic as they got closer to the boat dock. She felt as if the castle was welcoming them home, they docked in an underground cavern, hatred opened the door for them and showed them the way to the waiting Hall.

Everyone in the hall smiled, reminiscing their own first year and sailing across the lake.

They climbed the stairs, looking at the stern woman before them, Everyone stopped before  "Welcome to Hogwarts. Now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates, But before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, Now while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you house points. Any rule breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup, I will be back momentarily." she said before leaving the hall to make sure everything was ready for them.

" That's the speech she used for us! " many of the different years exclaimed "Of course it is. She's head of Gryffindor, Transfig Teacher AND is Deputy Headmistress. She quite literally has a full plate and doesn't have the time for a new speech every year" Dahlia said, giving them all a look before smiling at Minnie.

While they waited a blonde girl came over "There you all are, I didn't find any of you so I sat with Tracey" The girl said, stopping in front of them. "Sorry Daph, Dray here found his cousin and we ended up staying in their compartment playing games" Pansy Apologized "This is Dahlia Black-Potter, Harry Potter-Black, Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, and Hermione Granger. Everyone this is Daphne Greengrass" Draco explained as McGonagall returned, leading them into the Hall past the full tables before stopping before a dais, a ratty worn hat sat atop of a chair.

"Hermione Granger" McGonagall called the first of their group, they all knew how it worked since others had gone before "GRYFFINDOR!" The Hat yelled, all of them cheered, the young muggleborn was growing on the purebloods. "Daphne Greengrass" "SLYTHERIN"  "Neville Longbottom" GRYFFINDOR", "I guess I'm still Dahlia Potter in that list" she whispered to harry, they had completely passed the B's. "Draco Malfoy" "SLYTHERIN", "Theodore Nott" "SLYTHERIN", "Pansy Parkinson"  "SLYTHERIN", " Phineas Parkinson" "SLYTHERIN". Now it was Dahlia's turn, " Da.. Dahlia Potter " McGonagall called, Dahlia walked forward, ignoring the whispers "It's Black-Potter ma'am. I would prefer you honored it" she spoke softly, the suddenly quiet great Hall heard it all. McGonagall nodded as Dahlia took a seat, the hat going over her eyes 'hello young heir'  a voice said, 'hello, you must be Alistair. I don't mind what house I am in'  she returned 'very well young heir, I hope you enjoy your time in  "SLYTHERIN" The hat announced, silencing the Hall as she stood up, taking a seat next to Draco. The group clapped for her, happy regardless of her house. "H- Harry Potter-Black" Mcgonagall stuttered over his name as she read it, the list finally updating their names. "hello young heir"  "hello Alistair, you know what house I want" "yes, good luck on your journey and watch out for your sister, you will need each other over the years. BETTER BE GRYFFINDOR" Alistair called out as harry got off the stool and took his seat. Lastly Ron went to Gryffindor and Blaise went to Slytherin.
