§oh my little hatchling, aren't you just the cutest thing ever§  Dahlia roared softly, cuddling the little dragon close, "oh, I'm so sorry hagrid, she was your egg and I just took her, I'm so sorry" Dahlia said on the verge of tears, "it's ok Dahlia, I think I'll do better as an uncle" hagrid said reasurringly "you just roared" Ron said in shock, Dahlia turned seeing all of the group looking at her in shock, including her brother. She shrunk back slightly, she hated being the center of attention like this, Norberta sensed something was wrong and Growled at the people in the room "I didn't know I did" She said earnestly, she didn't need to feel even more like a freak.

The group winced "we're so sorry Lia, that was never our attention " Hermione said immediately, each of them apologizing profusely " it's ok" Dahlia said

"I think it's awesome" Blaise said "you both know we can't keep her right? " Hermione said hesitantly, dahlia's eyes shot towards her " what! Of course we can, we just got to find a nice cave and she'll be fine" Dahlia rambled " she has to be in a reserve Lia, it's the law" Ron said carefully. Dahlia's eyes filled with tears, as she held her hatchling close "NO!  I don't care, I don't wanna give her away" Dahlia cried, tears falling down her face. "My brother charlie works at a reserve, I'm sure I can ask him to get her, you can visit every holiday" Ron reasoned " but she needs me" Dahlia said " how will she learn how to hunt? Don't you want her to have the best chance at survival? " Harry asked, he hated seeing his sister look so devastated

The parents looked heartbroken for their little girl, "we are going to visit every dragon reserve at least three times each holiday" James swore, he wouldn't deprive his daughter of anything

"Alright" dahlia said quietly, holding Norberta close, "but I'm going with to the drop off" she said adamently "alright" the group gave in

{Time and scene change, one week later, close to midnight}

Dahlia and Ron made their way up to the astronomy, close together underneath the cloak with Norberta safety secured in her crate "Silencio" Dahlia whispered once they entered the Astronomy tower "what was that" ron asked as they took the cloak off "it's a silencing spell I read about in a book, it doubles as a sensory ward and will alert us if anyone starts walking up the stairs" Dahlia explained as she carefully took Norberta out of her crate "what are you doing she's su-" ron stopped when Dahlia glared at him with glowing purple eyes," take your time" He said carefully. Dahlia turned back to her hatchling §you be good for the other people and dragons, alright sweetie, I'll see you as soon as I can § Dahlia roared §Alright Mama§ the dragon growled . " There's Charlie " Ron said as he spot his brother and his friends in the sky, Dahlia turned, still holding Norberta, "what is she doing out of her cage?!" Charlie whisper shouted

Ron snickered, he loved this part and never failed to tease his brother over it, the others leaned forward, they hadn't been there and got to miss the show, the twins looked eager, this was going to be great

"Because I had to say goodbye" Dahlia said with a glare "your not supposed to -" Charlie was cut off when he was yanked by his collar down to Dahlia's eye level, her eyes glowed purple "Listen here Weasley, You have no Right to say anything about what I can or can't do with my hatchling. While we're on the subject if so much as a scratch is on my daughter the next time I see her, I will flay all of you alive. Am. I. Understood? " She threatened while he paled " Crystal " he whimpered, the other dragon trainers just as pale .

The group roared with laughter "no wonder he treats her like she's the boss and acts the way he does" Ginny said in-between her laughter, "this is priceless" Fred agreed, tears of laughter rolling down his face. "We'll have to be careful when we take her to the reserves, I don't think we'll be able to tell her no, if she wishes to take any home" James whispered to the other two.

§be good little dragon, I love you § Dahlia roared causing the group's eyes to widen and jaws slack, Charlie turned from shock to looking like every Christmas and birthday happened all at once §Love you Mama! § Norberta roared back, moving back into her crate without complaint. "You speak Draconious!" Charlie yelled "you can come to the reserve whenever you want and once I talk to the boss, you'd have a sure job there" Charlie rambled "I wouldn't mind being a dragon trainer" dahlia mused

"Oh merlin have mercy" Lily muttered, "at least she'd be the safest one there" Regulus offered
