"All students are to return to their house dormitories at once. All teachers to the second floor corridor immediately." McGonagall's voice sounded through out the school as the quartet made their way inside, the four shared a look before sneaking over to the corridor, hiding behind a column.
"Alright love, let's go to the room, I'll help you practice that spell you've been wanting to try" harry said, gathering Ginny in his arms and carrying her into the other room, the rest looked after them sadly.
Professors McGonagall, Snape, Flitwick, Madam Pomfrey, and Filch run up to the wall, where Professor McGonagall directs their attention to a newly written message. "As you can see, the Heir of Slytherin has left another message. Our worst fear has been realized, a student has been taken by the monster, into the Chamber itself. The students must be sent home. I'm afraid this is the end of Hogwarts." She said sadly. The four looked at the writing on the wall, 'her skeleton shall lie in the chamber forever' "So sorry. Dozed off. What have I missed?" Lockhart asked cheerfully, "A girl has been snatched by the monster, Lockhart. Your moment has come at last." Severus crawled, "My... moment?" Lockhart asked slightly stunted, paling. "Weren't you saying just last night you've known all along where the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is? " Severus continued in the same tone, the four hiding had to bite their lip, recognising his tone as sarcasm. "That's settled. We'll leave you to deal with the monster, Gilderoy. Your skills. after all, are legend." Minerva continued, her eyes betraying her sarcasm, and real worry.
Despite the situation, the aunts, uncles and parents laughed and cheered on a blushing Snape and McGonagall, Lockhart pouted, upset at their words.
"Very well. I'll just be in my office, getting. uh... getting ready" Lockhart stuttered, "Who is it that the monster's taken. Minerva?" Pomfret asked, concerned, "Ginny Weasley" Minerva said sadly. Ron paled, stumbling back into Blaise who quickly caught him, Harry staggered into his sister, his world coming to a screeching halt as he heard the name of his one being uttered by McGonagall, his one was in trouble.
"No" Molly breathed, gripping onto Arthur, their baby was in danger, the mood in the hall grew somber, everyone glancing to the door that held Harry and Ginny. Dahlia indicated that Ron, Fred and George should sit with their parents and uncles, Ginny would be best but none of them were going to make her relive this just to calm down Molly and Arthur, no matter how much they loved them.
{The scene changed to them running to the Defense against the dark arts classroom}
"Lockhart may be useless, but he's going to try to get into the Chamber. At least we can tell him what we know! Professor, we have some information for you." Harry said, opening the door to the office, Lockhart was busy stuffing his clothes into the bag. "Are you going somewhere?" Blaise asked with a raised eyebrow, "Um... well, yes. Urgent call. Unavoidable. Uh, got to go." Lockhart stammered, "What about my sister?!" Ron demanded, enraged. "Uh, well, um... As to that, most unfortunate. No one regrets more than I." Lockhart stuttered again, "You're the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. You can't go now!" Ron said in disbelief. "Well, I must say, when I took the job, there was nothing in the job description about--" Lockhart began, going to go out the door, the four blocked him, "You're running away? After all that stuff you did in your books?!" Dahlia demanded "Books can be misleading." Lockhart said evasively, "You wrote them" harry pointed out, "My dear boy. do use your common sense! My books wouldn't have sold half as well if people didn't think I'd done all those things!" Lockhart admitted. "You're a fraud. You've just been taking credit for what other wizards have done" Dahlia said, "Is there anything you can do?" Ron asked, "Yes. Now you mention it. I'm rather gifted with memory charms. Otherwise, you see, all those wizards would've gone blabbing, and I'd never have sold another book. In fact, uh... I'm uh... going to have to do the same to you" he said, pulling his wand out of his trunk, only to have four wands pointed at him.
"Lockhart! " James yelled standing up, Arthur, Regulus, And Lorenzo quickly followed James, all prepared to beat the hell out of the weseal that tried to Obliviate their kids, "Wait! Trust me, I would love to see you kick his behind, however, he does something a little later even more deserving of his beat down so please wait until then" Dahlia said, the four sighed before nodding, returning to their seats, Alastor wanted to applaud their quick thinking, all of them would have made fine aurors, he also made a mental note to keep an eye on Lockhart.
"Don't even think about it" harry said, while Dahlia summoned his wand
{Scene change to moaning myrtle's bathroom}
Oh? Who's there? Oh, hello, Harry, Dahlia. What do you want?" Myrtle asked curiously, "To ask you how you died." Harry said, Dahlia felt like slapping her head, could he have been any less dense. "Oh......it was dreadful. It happened right here in this very cubicle. I'd hidden because Olive Hornby was teasing me about my glasses. I was crying, and then... I heard somebody come in. I don't know who. I was distraught! But they said something funny, a kind of made-up language, and I realized it was a boy speaking, so I unlocked the door to tell him to go away, and... I died." Myrtle explained. "Do you happen to know where the boy was? " Dahlia asked, Myrtle pointed to the sink before floating off, "this one has a snake carving" Blaise said, $Open$ Dahlia hissed. The circular stone above the sink rises, then all the sinks begin to move outwards. Harry, Ron, Blaise, Dahlia and Lockhart back away slowly as the sinks move; the sink with the snake carved on it descended into the floor, then a grating slides over it. Lockhart steps towards the opening that the sinks concealed and looks down into a very wide black hole.
"Excellent, Harry. Ah, good work. Well, then. I'll just be. uh... there's no need for me to stay." Lockhart said, trying to leave only to be stopped by them, "Oh, yes there is! You first." Blaise said, "Now, kids, what good will it do?" Lockhart said, trying to sound condescendingly, "Better you than us." Dahlia said. "Um, but... obviously, yes. Sure you don't want to test it first?" Lockhart tried, the four shoved him in, his screams echoed as he slid down "It's really quite filthy down here." Lockhart commented, the four nodded, harry jumping in first, quickly followed by the others, Dahlia cheered and laughed as they went down. They get to their feet, the floor littered in animal bones "Ugh." Ron said in disgust, Dahlia wrinkled her nose "Now, remember: any sign of movement, close your eyes straight aaway" Dahlia said, onyx and noir flew over them, lighting their way, Ron and Blaise were behind Lockhart, keeping him at wand point as they walked.
