if i were still 17, i would say that love is a big distraction. it makes you crazy and makes you have eyebags. JOKE!
for me, love will become a distraction if you're in the wrong person. a right person will take care of you, reminds you all the time about what you will do and about your dreams that you want to achieve.
my man, before bedtime, on video call, you would utter "what's your plan tomorrow, what will you do" and somehow we always manage to talk about what he did the whole day and so do I. and then we will be talking what we want to succeed. we dont share the same dreams. i want to become a fashion designer and he wants to establish our future.
he works hard to support me today and tomorrow and i work hard for my own dream.
so is love a distraction? depends. if your man is like my man and suddenly you fell into a fight and you can't do anything because you were so affected on that, then that becomes a distraction.
But if he, who is the one pushing you to try more, giving you all you need to achieve your dream then LOVE IS NOT A DISTRACTION.
ive been in so many relationships before, from nerds to super hot guys to super popular schoolmate, to a workaholic, the smartest, the cutest, the musician and now to a man who is matured enough to manage me.
im not perfect but he just stays whenever our situation is and i do find him perfect for me. i could say that i was distracted by all the exes i have so if you are reading this now, don't give up on being a single.
it's better become a single, waiting for a right man to find you than you being in a relationship that will only distract you and the FUTURE YOU!
