Jin and Taehyung are seated at a cozy corner table, laughing and catching up. Jungkook, who had a free afternoon, spots them from a distance and instantly feels a surge of jealousy. He hesitates but finally walks over.

Jungkook trying to keep calm as he approached them
"Hey Yeobo, fancy running into you here."

Jin was surprised but happy to see JK
" Baby! I didn’t know you’d be around. Chim called me to accompany Tae here, he's on his way"

Taehyung smiling politely
"  Jungkook, nice to see you, again! What are you doing here?"

Jungkook nods curtly, forcing a smile
" Yeah? Nice to see you too-
Together.. oh, I was just walking around, looking for something"
He throw a look on his husband

Awkward silence. JK sits down, his gaze shifting between Jin and Taehyung. Jin senses JK’s discomfort and tries to smooth things over.

"We were just catching up. Taehyung wanted to hear about our travels and, you know, life updates. And your pregnancy."

Jungkook in a controlled tone, nods and smiled,
"Interesting. You didn’t mention you’d be meeting him today.?"
He said, asking his husband.

Jin was slightly defensive. And was a bit taken a back
"It was a last-minute thing. I didn’t think it would be a big deal."

Taehyung sensing tension, he stand up and picked his things up.
" I don’t want to intrude here, JK. I was just happy to see Jin and—"

"  Yeah, well, maybe it’s time you moved on, don’t you think? I believe you already have Jimin? It's all over social media. I thought you we're engage?"
Jungkook cutting him, with the obvious sarcastic on his tone and eyes narrowing at Taehyung.
Jin shoots JK a warning look, but JK ignores it. Taehyung clears his throat uncomfortably.

"Baby, that’s not fair. We’re just talking. You don’t need to be so... territorial."
Jin told him in a soft but firm tone

Jungkook looks so frustrated, finally speaking his mind, switching his glares back at his husband
" Territorial? Jin, you’re my husband. Do you know how it looks when I see you laughing with your ex like that?"

Jin sighs, with his arms crossed and back straighten
" It’s not like that. Taehyung, is an old friend, nothing more. You know what I've already told you"

" Maybe I should go. I don’t want to be the cause of any issues here."
Taehyung said as he stand up

Jungkook turn away
" You've been making a scene since you came back. And that's enough to be an issue for the two of you."
He glance at Jin and Taehyung
" Maybe it’s best if we all just understand some boundaries here. You should get that Jin and I, are married and soon having our baby, so please stop whatever it is that you're up to"

Taehyung stared at Jin, like waiting for him to at least speak up for him but Seokjin stayed silent while staring at his husband

"I get it Jin-"
Taehyung said, Jungkook quickly catch that so he threw him a death glare
"I'm sorry, that I keep holding on"

With that Taehyung leaves, and there’s a moment of silence as JK and Jin look at each other, the tension seemed to rise between them.

-----

It's a rainy evening again.

Jin and Jungkook are sitting across from each other in a dimly lit room. Jin's eyes are narrowed as he watches Jungkook pace back and forth, his jaw clenched and his fists tightly closed.

"Why do you always have to be like this, Jungkook?" Jin finally snaps, his voice strained with frustration. "I can't even have a normal conversation with someone without you getting all possessive."

Jungkook stops in his tracks, running a hand through his messy hair, his eyes flashing with a mix of hurt and anger. "It’s not that I don’t trust you, Jin. It’s... it’s was Taehyung! Your damn ex for how long? 8 years ? In a secret relationship ? You don’t know how he looks at you."

Jin lets out an exasperated sigh and stands up, crossing his arms. "You think I don’t notice that? You think I don’t care about how you feel? But this jealousy, it’s too much, Jungkook! I can’t even breathe around you sometimes."

Jungkook's gaze softens for a moment, but there's still a stubborn glint in his eyes. "I just... I don’t want to lose you, Jin, we're having a baby.."

Jin’s face softens a bit too, his anger waning as he takes a step closer to Jungkook. "You won’t lose me, Jungkook. But you have to trust me. If this keeps up, it’ll push me away." His tone is gentle, but there’s a firmness in his words, a plea that carries a weight heavier than either of them wants to bear.

They stare at each other in silence, the room thick with tension, their breaths almost synchronized, heavy and uncertain. Jungkook’s gaze wavers as he takes in the quiet strength in Jin’s eyes. He knows, deep down, that Jin means every word. There’s no malice, no anger—just an aching honesty that tugs at Jungkook’s heart.

Finally, after a long pause, Jungkook’s shoulders slump, and he nods, a look of regret flickering across his face. His voice is barely above a whisper, raw and trembling. "I’m sorry," he murmurs, reaching out to take Jin’s hand, his fingers curling tightly around Jin’s, as if afraid to let go.

Jin’s lips pull into a small, understanding smile as he squeezes Jungkook’s hand in return. "I know," he replies softly. "Just... give me a little room to breathe, okay? Believe me when I say I’m giving this marriage a real chance. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t mean that."

Jungkook's eyes search Jin's, looking for reassurance, a sign that things will be okay. His voice comes out barely above a whisper, laced with desperation. "I love you, Jin. I don’t want to lose you."

Without waiting for a response, he pulls Jin into an embrace, burying his face into Jin’s shoulder, seeking comfort in his husband’s warmth. He closes his eyes, letting himself get lost in the scent of Jin’s cologne, the familiar feel of his heartbeat against his chest. It’s the only thing grounding him right now.

"Hyungie..." he whispers, his voice almost pleading, hoping—no, silently begging—that Jin will say the words he so desperately needs to hear.

But instead, he feels Jin’s chest rise and fall with a deep sigh. Jin’s heartbeat is steady, yet there’s a heaviness to it, a rhythm that feels distant, guarded. And then, Jin’s voice, soft and reassuring, breaks the silence.

"You won’t lose me," Jin murmurs, his hand gently running through Jungkook’s hair in a soothing motion. "I promise."

The words offer a sliver of relief, but Jungkook can’t ignore the lingering tension between them, the unspoken doubts that seem to hang in the air. He holds Jin a little tighter, not wanting to let go, afraid that if he does, Jin might slip away.

After a long moment, Jin pulls back slightly, meeting Jungkook’s gaze with a steady look. "But you have to meet me halfway," he says, his thumb brushing gently over Jungkook’s cheek. "Trust that I’m here because I want to be. I need you to believe in us as much as I do."

Jungkook nods again, his throat tight with emotion. "I will," he whispers, his voice rough but filled with determination. "I’ll try, Jin. I just... I want to make this work. I want you to be happy—with me."

Jin’s expression softens even more, and he reaches up to cup Jungkook’s face, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. "That’s all I’m asking for," he says softly. "Let’s take it one step at a time, together."

They stand there for a moment, locked in each other’s arms, a quiet understanding passing between them. It’s not a perfect resolution, but it’s a start. And for now, that’s enough.
