The bus driver frustratedly twisted the key around another time trying his best to get the bus to start. He pressed the gas pedal, but nothing happened. It was useless. He could not understand what could be wrong, it still had lots of fuel and should be fine with everything else as well, but obviously something was wrong.
He let out a sigh getting out of the drivers seat. Thinking someone in the city could help, but first he would have to tell the boys about.
In the back of the bus Piper had just come out of the bathroom. Her hair was now pulled back in a ponytail and she had washed all her make-up off her face as good as she could so it didn't look too bad. She was now in Ashton's shirt which she actually quite liked, even thought it was pretty big compared to what she used to wear, but it fit okay.
She entered the part where the boys sat. Just then the bus driver came in from the front. He sighed slightly. "The bus won't start boys, I'm gonna have to go into the city and see if I can find some help. We'll probably be staying here for a little while." He told them, and all the boys nodded, but looked at each other slightly worried. They didn't want to miss any concerts. "I'm sure it's nothing big." The bus driver said, before he disappeared into the drivers part of the bus and headed out the door.
The boys turned their attention back to Piper as she now was standing in front of them, like showing off her half-new outfit and look. They smiled admiring her, Calum couldn't help but think as he looked at her that she looked just as pretty without make-up as she did with. Her lips were still a nice pink, and her eyelashes still long and dark. She looked just as good, at least in his eyes.
"Hey you look nice." Michael commented grinning at her. He had already admitted to himself that he thought she looked hot, so why not basically admit it to her. She smiled back pushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"Wait, Ashton is that your shirt? Cause it's defiantly not the one she wore earlier." Calum commented glancing at his friend between looking her up and down. He already knew what he thought but that didn't mean he didn't want to look at her a little bit more. Ashton nodded.
"Yeah, she had some lipstick on hers, so I thought she could borrow one." He smiled shrugging slightly. For some reason it made something stir inside of Calum thinking of his best friend borrowing his shirt to his girl, I mean, to her. He felt like Ashton's intentions had been different than it seemed, but he was wrong. All Ashton wanted was to be nice and helpful. He didn't try anything else but that. No matter what Calum's insides told him, but he just tried to ignore it. If Ashton liked her or whatever then what did that have to do with Calum anyway? She was just a girl, she didn't matter to him. After this day he would probably never see her again.
"Thanks Ash." She smiled genuinely over at him sitting down in her seat between Calum and Luke. It was nice of him to borrow his shirt to her, but she guessed it wouldn't be a big problem for him to buy a new one in case. Which it would for Piper, she could get herself new clothes here and there, but not just whenever she wanted to. For her that wasn't how it worked.
"So, what do we do now?" Luke asked leaning back in the couch taking his hands behind his head to lean on. Piper shrugged, thinking that they might as well play some more songs while waiting for the bus driver to return.
"Why don't you guys play me some other of your songs?" She asked and they shrugged before nodding and picking up their instruments again to play one more. "And you also haven't told me what your band is called yet." She then laughed as she realized. She had no idea what their band was called, and she had slept in the same bed as one of them. Their band name was a thing she should probably know by now.
