Piper laid out there on the couch, hearing the boys fast asleep in the room beside her. It felt peaceful and calming to hear their soft breathing and some snores here and there. But she herself was wide awake and could not fall asleep. She was thinking about everything, hanging out with Calum and the things that had been talking about. About the wishes they had made, and most of all him climbing through that bathroom window to get to her. It was the cutest thing anyone had ever done for her and she just felt very thankful for some reason.

Thankful that she had met Calum Hood, bassist of the band 5 Seconds of Summer. Even though they had basically not known each other for much longer than 24 hours it still felt like they knew so much about each other. Yet so little, they shared all the memories, but had missed out on the knowledge about each other. She was determined to get to know him somehow, the only thing that worried her was the small fact that he was going to leave and go on with his tour. While she would have to stay behind, and of course they could still be friends, but it's hard keeping contact when you are far away from each other. Piper feared that.

Feared the distance that would come between them, and maybe make sure that they would never meet again. She didn't want something like that to happen, especially not with Calum. He was different than any other person Piper had ever known, and that made him special to her. He was actually her first real friend. The others had been liars or fake friends, but Calum had been the best person she had ever met and they barely knew each other. She couldn't help but feel something special for him, he was her friend and he would try his best to be there for her. Put faith and trust in her that no one else could give.

That meant a lot to her, that she knew he would be there and that he was worth trusting. But even after settling with the decision that Calum was her friend and she could trust him with everything she could still not fall asleep. Something about it was just not right, and she was thinking hard about it to try and figure it out. Something about the word 'friend' made a feeling come to the pit of her stomach making her feel sick. She couldn't change it, but it made her feel restless and most of all wide awake. It was a nervous uneasy feeling and it made sure she wasn't going to fall asleep any time soon.

After a while she finally sat up deciding that if she wasn't going to fall asleep anyway was no point in bothering to try. She sighed slightly, running a hand through her black frustratedly to push it out of her face. It made no sense to her why she was feeling like that and she hoped maybe she could figure out why somehow.

Piper pulled off one of the hair ties on her wrist and pulled her hair up in to a bun getting up from the couch. She knew that she eventually was going to fall asleep at some point, but she wasn't going to lay in bed and wait for it. It almost occurred funnily to her how only two hours later she has felt exhausted and longed to get to sleep.
After getting her hair out of the way Piper found her jeans again pulling them back on, then she put on her pair of converse ready to go wherever it would be.

With a deep breath she opened the door to the bus right by her, and went outside into the cold night air. Outside she sat down on the paved place outside of where the bus stood. The ground was cold as she sat down and she could feel the cool air dancing over the bare skin on her arms. Her gaze moved from the ground in front of her up to the beautiful starry sky above her. She chose to just ignore that she was feeling cold, she didn't have anything in her belongings that could help for it.

Sitting there on the ground she finally felt the tiredness she had earlier, but the same nervous feeling were in the pit of her stomach and she knew that she wouldn't fall asleep as long as it was there. Sighing slight she kept her eyes on the stars glinting above her beautifully, she had always loved the stars, and only once before had she seen the sky as clear as it was out there. The city by was so small, but even that little was making the stars less visible. It was her dream to one day see them somewhere no near any lights that could ruin it. Just as that thought crossed her mind some cloth was put around her making the warmth spread through her body at once. Then a person sat down beside her, following her gaze with his up to the stars above them.
