Piper was sitting with her back against a stone wall watching four huge assholes play around on a playground like they were children. Her hair constantly kept falling in her face and every time she moved it away it would fall right back and just keep annoying her. She was trying her best not to laugh at the boys infront of her as they practically skipped around getting stuck in everything because they were just incredibly huge. She knew herself that she would fit through all of that, but then again they were like 3 feet taller than her and that made them wider as well.
What she didn't notice was that one of them, the one with dark hair and brown eyes kept throwing glances at her through playing around with them. He noticed the hair that always fell in her face, or how her eyes squinted together when she was smiling or laughing. For a while he didn't care that she was just sitting over there not doing anything, but finally he decided he wasn't going to let.
He escaped the three boys practically chasing each other around and made his way over to her with his hand reached out. She looked at him with a frown on her face that he found absolutely adorable. A slight chuckle escaped his mouth as he stopped in front of her seeing her push the hair out of her face again. Did it never let her go?
"C'mon," he started squinting down to be on her eye-level. "Join me on a magical quest to have fun." He said looking completely seriously at her. Piper couldn't help but laugh, but the need to hold his hand she had been feeling was still there. When she had the chance she wasn't going to let it go.
"I sure will, good sir." She told him with another laugh and let him take her hand and pull her up into a standing position. He grinned at her, and then with their hands linked together they walked over to the playground where all the other boys were. Piper couldn't keep the tingly feeling she got from touching his hand. It was like pulsating energy was sent from him to her through their hands. Making her heartbeat race and her brain buzz like crazy. Why he made her feel like this was unknown to her, but it was a different feeling than any she had been having before. Something that made her feel weird, but also so very good.
Calum brought her over to the two swings and sat down on one so he had to let go of her hand. Piper looked at him suspiciously for a second. Then sat down on the swing beside him, not being able to keep to smile off her face. Somehow he made her want to smile. Smile so wide her face would stretch out and never be able to go back to normal. Her hand felt cold as the warmth of Calum's skin now was gone. It made her want it back, and she knew what all this meant. That scared her the most of all, but she couldn't help but go along with it.
"So... the swings are your best idea for having fun?" She questioned raising an eyebrow at him. He just chuckled slightly before pushing the swing backwards with his legs using them to hold him, then he let go when he couldn't go further gaining speed. Piper was still just sitting beside him looking at him waiting for him to say something. To answer her question, but in his head he already had.
"It's funnier with speed." He finally said breaking it off with his legs again. So he was stopped right beside her, eyes locking with hers waiting for her to start moving her swing. "If you didn't get that message." He added making her laugh slightly and slowly begin pushing some speed to the swing.
"And no my best idea of fun is actually living your dream every day and get payed for it, but I doubt I could give that to you." He told her as they were both swinging back and forth, answering her first question properly. "Unless you are inexplicably in love with me and your dream is to be with me for a day. Then I could at least give you half." He said laughing even louder now.
At the mention of love Piper felt something tingling inside of her, but it wasn't such a good feeling this time. A lump was forming in her throat, the way he was just laughing at it, like it was impossible. That made her feel so bad inside, it didn't feel as bad as someone breaking your heart, but somehow it was very close. That was not understandable for Piper, she had only known Calum since the night before, not even 24 hours. Why did she feel bad for something like that?
