Part 27 (she said yes)

One week later

Luke's pov

I was in a call with ash

"Yea I'm ready to ask her to marry me!"
I said into the phone

"Great I'm so excited for you" ash replied

"Yeah I can't wait"

"How are you going to ask?"

"I was going to go to her favourite beach and then walk along the jetty and at the end with the sunset in the background I was going to ask"

"Omg that's so nice she will love it"

"Yea. Wait she's waking up I have to go bye"

"Good luck"

With that I quickly hung up the phone. She slowly opened her eyes.

"Morning my little penguin"

"Morning my big penguin"

"Do you want to go to the beach today?" I asked

"Yea that would be great. At my favourite one you can take dogs so we should go there"

"Ok well get ready we will leave in an hour"

"Ok. Bath?"

"Ok"

We hopped in the bath and after started to get ready. I made sure that the ring was in my pocket for the walk.

"Ok get bluey and let's go"

"BLUEY! Come on we're going to the beach" she called

Bluey came walking down the stairs and we left.

We walked along the jetty and as the sun went down so did I.

"Milly Rushmore, will you be my wife?"

"OMG LUKE YES I WILL BE YOUR WIFE!! I CANT BELIEVE ILL BE MRS HEMMINGS."

I slid the ring on her finger and came back up. She gave me a big hug and we started walking hand in hand back to the car with bluey in front of us. This was the best day of my life...so far.

I called ash when I got home

"SHE SAID YES!" Was the first thing I said

"Congrats bro"

"I can't believe it! She actually said yes"

"Why wouldn't she? Have you seen the way she looks at you? I have never seen someone look at someone else like that. She loves you"

"And I love her equally the same but maybe a little bit more"

"I have to go now. Have fun with Milly but not too much fun. Take care. Bye"

"Bye"

We ended the call and Milly came in so I hung on to her like there is no tomorrow.
