Two weeks later

Milly's pov

When we got home things were kind of difficult for the first two or three days but then things died down. Sam was getting more comfortable with his new surrounding which he will call home. Luke has been going to meetings again. He went to his first one yesterday. It's really hard without him around as much. My mum has been coming to help for an hour a day but that still isn't enough when Luke is at meetings.

When I got home it looked like Milly had been crying.

"Mill? What's wrong?"

"I can't do it Luke. I know that it has only been two days but I can't deal with being alone with sam for about 5 hours." She weeps into my chest

"Mill it's ok. My mum is going to move up the street soon so she will be able to help out some more aswell as your mum"

"Luke I don't think that I can do it. I don't know what he wants. I haven't learnt which cry is which yet. It's all to frustrating. I don't ever know what he wants."

"Milly its goi-"

I got cut off by Milly

"I think that I need to live with mum for a little bit and I'm taking Sam with me"

her words hurt. I knew that I wasn't a good enough father for Sam and this just proves it. She was walking away with my son.

"Milly please don't walk out with my son" I wept as she packed some bags

"Luke I'm not leaving you. I'm just getting extra help from mum. You can stay here and look after bluey or you can bring bluey with you to my house"

"I'm going to yours with bluey. If that's what it takes to be with you then that's what I'm going to do"

I packed a bag with clothes aswell and got blueys stuff together. Milly,Sam,bluey and I then went over to Milly's old house. We knocked on the door and her mum looked awfully ready for us to be coming. She must have known that we may have needed to stay here with her for a bit.

"Can we stay here with you for a week?" Milly asked

"Of course you can dear. Just go upstairs and unpack everything"

"Ok thanks mum"

"Thanks Mrs Rushmore"

"Hey Luke"

"Yeah?"

"Call me tammy please. You know I hate it when you call me mrs Rushmore"

"Okay. Thanks tammy"

I went upstairs to Milly's old room and found a cot that was already set up in there. Tammy was really prepared for this situation. Milly and I unpacked and then went for a bath while Tammy looked after Sam. It was relaxing to have a bath with Milly again. Since Milly got her baby bump she never really wanted me to see her stomach which meant that we never really had baths together. Her belly wasn't down yet but she needed some relaxing so she let me in anyway. I gave her a nice back rub and she seemed like she needed it badly. When we got out of the bath we saw Sam asleep in the room so we went downstairs to watch TV while waiting for his cry to fill our ears. He was a great baby but we had to make sure that we were always aware about the slightest noise being made. We snuggled up on the couch as bluey was on my lap and Tammy was in the shower. We heard a cry and made our way upstairs to Sam. He was hungry. As much as Milly hadn't got used to the cries I had and knew exactly what he wanted when he wanted it. This cry was definitely the cry of hunger.
