(DC Multiverse Adventures)
"-even with his parties and his playboy act-"
Zoya starts chuckling out of nowhere then proceeds to laugh quietly.
Dick looks at her. "What?"
She shakes her head. "Nothing."
"No, what?" He presses.
She pressed her lips tog...
When Frost and Caitlin split, Zoya was excited about this change and seemed to be the only one to understand what Frost wanted.

Zoya types away on her laptop as Cisco plays one of his pc games that she has yet to understand the entertainment of it. She ignores his sudden noise of frustration.
"Chester. If you're gonna be a part of Team Flash, then you have to stop beating me at Fortnite!" He yells into his mic and she rolls her eyes and continues on with her essay.
After joining Team Flash, Caitlin offered her a place at her apartment. Since then, she's been making progress with the Team. Except for Iris, she was weird to the former assassin.
If she's being honest, she was doing pretty well. The atmosphere of working with Team Flash compared to Team Arrow however was kind of too sweet for her own taste, but it was better than nothing.
When she got settled, she found herself enrolled to Central City's community college with Barry's influence. Being the owner of STAR labs does have its perks.
Caitlin suddenly came by. "Cisco, thank God you're here. Um, there's something I need to show you."
"You still having those headaches?" Cisco asked, not really looking at Caitlin.
"Nope. Not anymore."
Then another pair of shoes clicked the floor had Zoya's full attention and she turns. Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped.
Cisco took this moment to finally face Caitlin. "Okay, then why-" He suddenly stops speaking as he scrambles in his chair in shock.
"Hello, Cisco." Frost spoke in giddy.
Frost, who is standing next to Caitlin.
"Oh."
Frost gestures between her and Caitlin. "How great is this?"

Frost was looking through her phone. "These rapids are hard core. Can Caity swim? What if when she and I split, I got swimming, and now, she needs floaties?"
Zoya snickers. She was loving this. Frost was one of the people she could tolerate in Team Flash.
"No one's going to need floaties, all right? You two are gonna be peanut butter and jellied again by the time we tear up that river." Cisco said.
"Frost!" Caitlin calls out to her doubleganger.
"Or not." Zoya said and stood up.
Caitlin storms in with the matrix in her hands, which looks to be broken as clear as day.
"The Firestorm Matrix has been sabotaged." She glares at Frost and hand the machine to Zoya. Trusting that the girl can fix it. "Only someone tried to make it look like it short-circuited."
Cisco tries to defend the metahuman. "Before you go blaming Frosty- "
"I ran the adapter through an infrared scanner, and guess what the temperature was?"
Zoya was looking at the device, wondering what to do to fix it.
. . . But does she have to?
"Negative 162 degrees."
Frost broke. "Fine. I broke your stupid precious Matrix."
Caitlin looks at her in shock. "Why? Why would you do that to us? It will be weeks before we can even consider another fusion attempt."
Frost made a sound of frustration. "Because maybe I don't want to re-combine!"
Caitlin shakes her head, not understanding what she's hearing. "Why not?"
"Because she wants to live her own life with her own choices instead of being stuck in one body like a prison." Zoya said as looks over the destroyed device.
All eyes turned to the young girl, she mid-stops at whatever she was doing to the device slowly turns, quickly noticing the quiet tension and the betrayed owl-eyed expression that Frost was shooting at her.
"Was I not supposed to say that out-loud?"
Cisco gave her an obvious look while Caitlin just shook her head at Frost and left.
Frost turns fully to Zoya, glaring at her.
"What?"
***
"I mean, what is she even thinking?"
"Mhm."
"Does she even consider that this could be dangerous?"
"Mhm."
"Are you even listening?"
Once again, Zoya found herself being a somewhat shrink to Caitlin's many vents in the main hub. She looks up at the older woman who tilts her head at her. Waiting for a response.
"What is it?"
Zoya pursed her lips together before answering, choosing her words carefully. "I don't think you're fair to Frost."
"How am I not being fair? I'm trying to save us."
"Listen, I may not understand what it's like to be stuck in someone else's head, but I know the part of being stuck. Being part of someone else, never fully in control, constantly split between what you want and what someone else does. That can mess with your mind."
Caitlin's shoulders sank, her frustration flickering into something softer, almost regretful. "I know. But I just wish she'd understand that this isn't something I chose either. It's not easy for me."
Zoya set down the Matrix carefully, dusting her hands as she looked at Caitlin. "Maybe that's something you should tell her. Instead of-y'know-talking through me," she teased gently, a small smirk tugging at her lips.
Caitlin let out a breath of laughter, almost looking sheepish. "Sometimes I forget how young you are, but you have more wisdom than the rest of us combined."
Zoya chuckled. "It's the assassin background," she joked, tapping her temple. "You learn to observe and keep your mouth shut-or open it at the wrong time, apparently."
"Like earlier?" Caitlin raised an eyebrow, a wry smile on her face.
"Exactly." Zoya grinned. "But, honestly, Caitlin... she doesn't hate you. Frost just wants her own space, her own identity. Maybe you two need a way to... coexist better."
Caitlin sighed, nodding as if trying to absorb Zoya's words. "I suppose that makes sense. But it's hard, knowing that someone else has such control over part of my life."
"Yeah," Zoya agreed, "but maybe that's what she feels too. It goes both ways."
Caitlin studied her, thoughtful, then reached over and gently squeezed Zoya's shoulder. "Thanks, Zoya."
Zoya shrugged, brushing it off. "Not like I had anywhere else to be."
