"Whaaat is she doing?" Cisco whispers in slight fear as Zoya watches everyone in the room in silence from the corner. Once her eyes landed on him, he squirmed.
They've been known of Zoya's past and how she was the daughter of one of the most heinous people on earth. But Oliver said she's changed and was given to him to look after as a promise to Nyssa al Ghul. But despite Oliver's word, something about Zoya's aura still freaks Cisco out.
Oliver didn't so much as glance when he was studying the STAR labs monitors. "She's just observing. Don't worry, it's how she learns who to trust. Usually, it takes a few days before she'll talk to you."
"Right." Cisco says, uncertain.

After the crisis with the anti-monitor, in this new timeline, talking became much easier for Zoya. There is still some work to be done, such as her selective mutism being turned on whenever she is to encounter a potential ally, or enemy, in the hero biz.
School was one of the many challenges that Zoya seemed to face with certain difficulty in terms of socializing with other peers her age. Don't get her wrong, she was trying, she just didn't like people.
Which is Cisco's language.
As Zoya continued with her studies at Central City's Nursing School, Cisco made his life mission to educate Zoya on key modern culture. Eras that she had been deprived of. It wasn't easy though. He had to schedule a time frame for both him and her sessions because Caitlin was assisting in fabricating the beginning of Zoya's nursing career.
As time passed, Cisco began to see Zoya as a delinquent niece, minus the delinquent on her part as she refuses to participate in any activities that Cisco planned for them when he figured out her schedules. However, he managed to have Frost reeling her in. With much bribe money that is.
Cisco's seen progressed when Zoya has some mild interest in music, such as the early 2000' s rock era and some interest in the Asian-pop culture. Such as mangas and K-pop, even though they were not his field. The bonus was that it is revealed that Barry likes K-pop.
But there was one flaw. And that flaw being Frost.
Cisco and Frost had developed a unique kind of rivalry over Zoya. It wasn't something that anyone would have predicted, least of all Zoya herself, but somehow, the two of them had ended up in what they jokingly referred to as 'joint custody.'
It all started when Cisco realized Frost had been sneaking Zoya out for ice cream runs during what he thought were their sacred movie nights. When he confronted Frost about it, she smirked and said, "Maybe she likes hanging out with me more, Ramon. Can't compete with my charm."
