"What are you going to wear this weekend?" Bailey asked sitting on Gen's bed painting her nails blue and silver.

The four dormmates were in Gen's room on Thursday evening gossiping about their week and gorging themselves on Chinese food, which included orange chicken and egg rolls. Gen also had ordered an extra portion of Lo Mein, seeing as the girl loved that stuff and wouldn't share with anyone.

"I think that I am going to wear a Yale shirt with a white turtleneck underneath, a blue cardigan in case it's cold, my flare jeans, and converse. I also bought some makeup so we can draw a 'Y' on each other's face!" Gen flipped through a magazine circling what she wanted for Christmas.

Rosemary who was curling her hair at Gen's vanity looked at the pair in the mirror. "I didn't realize this football game was a fashion show?" She asked sticking her tongue out in concentration.

Stephanie laughed at her cousin. The girl was clueless sometimes when it came to fashion, however, she definitely looked like she belonged in a magazine.

"Rose, it's the Yale versus Harvard game, of course we're dressing up. I think I'm going to pair a blue sweater with a black skirt, tights, and my Mary Jane's." Stephanie spoke thoughtfully blowing on her nails that Bailey had just painted.

Rosemary nodded and continued curling her hair. "You guys are welcome to borrow anything out of my closet." She smiled at her roommates that had quickly become her closest friends.

Gen hopped off the bed to answer the telephone that had just rang and called, "Feel free to look through mine as well. Emily bought about so many different Yale merchandise I could start a store."

"Hello! This is Genevieve Gilmore; may I ask whose calling?" She answered the phone in a posh voice, feeling giddy on the sparkling water they had consumed, and the mini cakes Stephanie had delivered from New York.

"Genny, it's your grandfather. I was calling to inform you that your grandmother and I book our usual seats in our suite box for the Harvard-Yale game and was wondering if you wanted to invite any friends?" Richard asked sounding like he was smoking one of his cigars their grandmother hated.

The girl smiled; she was truly grateful to have wonderful grandparents who wanted to support her in the college experiences. "I would love to accept your invitation to join you in your suite box. Can you set aside three extra tickets? One for Bailey, Stephanie and Rosemary."

"Of course, my dear, I cannot wait to spend the day with you and Rory, showing you the traditions of what to expect during a Harvard-Yale game, introducing you to possible future employments, the air is crisp and perfect for football." Richard spoke through the phone drifting off into his days at Yale.

Gen giggled. "Hey grandpa, I think I should let you go, sounds like you're drifting off into never, never land."

After bidding Richard goodbye with a promise to call Emily, the girl grabbed another mini cake and went back to join the girls.

"It's ten o clock at night and suddenly I hear this terrible racket. So, I go outside and there is May Richmond, sneaking a six-foot Rudolph into her garage." Emily shares with the family at Friday Night dinner later that week.

Gen snorts. She loves coming over during the holidays and listening to her grandparents complain about the usual rich people problems.

"That woman, is working my last never." Richard scowls taking a sip of his whiskey.

Lorelai shrugs, "So, what?" She asks.

"Don't you know what this means young lady?" Richard looks appalled at his daughter who doesn't' seem to have any concern for the six-foot Rudolph.
