When did it happen?
When did it all become so numbingly cold?
Like the bottom of the Antarctic untouched by sunlight and warmth
You were the global warming to my freezing glaciers
Your warmth and shine melted away at me slowly
But I didn't care because my love for you were an oceans' worth
Just like the water, it kept rising drowning the land of doubt and unease
But in the end the sun must set
I thought you'd come back the next day but you never did
And the sun never rose again for me
The clouds of sorrow and abandonment filled the skies
Darkness enveloped and again I froze
I'm still here waiting for the sun to shine
But the sun has picked another
Never to melt this frozen heart again
Forever frozen in time
