I don't like sitting inside a closed cabinet.
Even if it's studded with diamonds
And woven with gold laces.
I don't like sitting at the window
And see the birds mocking at me-
How I am stuck inside a dingy room
And have nothing but four walls to gaze at.
I don't need the Kohinoor,
I don't need anything else.
What I need is to feel how is it to be under a tree shade
How it feels to sleep on a bed of soft grass
And enjoy
The dancing shiny maize.
The flowers will sway, the birds will sing,
Trees will dance to the tune of the wind.
The Earth is calling me; the nature is driving me mad
With her seductive smile.
I don't want to be stuck in this ten by ten cell
And gather dust like
An old hat.
