Lightly the baby swings,
On the cradle, so sound she sleeps.
A smile so tender and a little face
Adorned with solitude and heavenly blaze.
Her cheeks glowing in the morning rays,
A baby asleep in the cradle she lay.
Her breath soundless as her fluttering hands,
An Arab finding an oasis in the sand.
An ocean of peace, a cascade of beauty,
A sinless creation of mirth and glee.
I stand and see how gaily she swings,
On the cradle, so sound she sleeps.
