Lady's Gown

Oh Lady, I beseech thee
To confess a secret to me.
Thy precious gown,
How precisely sown ?
A wonder in my eyes.

A shade of pure Caspian blue
The first rays fall thy gown's blue.
The bluest oceans envying thy bliss
When the pencil of rays falls upon you and kiss.

Thy gown is a pure sunflower yellow
When above our head, does the sun bellow.
It takes the look of the fresh hay.
It seems like daisies on the first March Day.

Thy gown is nothing but a pure silk velvet
When the sun goes and moon cometh
Even the proud mulberry is of no match
You
A nuthatch not easy to catch.

Thy gown prettiest in night's black waves
When above our head is the crescent moon
The Empress of the sky
Fleecy clouds in her beams
Drawn on your linen, are fluffy cotton balls
Beyond them are the wailing nightjars.

Oh Lady, how gracefully
Thou walk with thy gown on
A Lady so bright
A wondrous sight.

I beseech thee
Confess this secret to me.
Thy precious gown
How precisely sown
To steal my soul.
