Ruslan was obviously excited while we were waiting for Devlin. Maaga nga ring nagising kanina at para pa ngang hindi nakatulog sa sobrang excitement. Nauna rin s'yang nagising and he even had to wake me up by saying that they should get ready as his dad was visiting today. He also finished his breakfast and took a bath quickly. He even wore his best clothes today: a white polo and a black bow tie, pero dahil malamig ay sinuotan ko pa ng sweatshirt at sweatpants. He looked so cute with the collar of his inner shirt and the black bow tie sticking out from the collar of his sweatshirt.
Pagkatapos ay pumuwesto na s'ya sa bintana. He was kneeling on the sofa beside the window, looking out for Devlin, waiting for him. He was even happily singing a nursery rhyme. Pati tuloy ako ay nahahawa sa excitement n'ya.
I wore a long-sleeved turtleneck top and tight pants with high boots na alam kong matatakpan din naman ng fur coat and scarf. I even dolled myself up today too. Sinabi ko na lang sa sarili ko na nag-ayos akong mabuti dahil may lakad ako ngayon at hindi dahil bibisita si Devlin.
I will have my meeting with Serj later. After talking to him over the phone last night, I told him that I needed to talk to him. He said that I could come by after lunch as he had time by then.
Hindi na ako nag-aalala tungkol kay Ruslan dahil may magbabantay naman sa kanya as Devlin would come by today kaya kampante akong pumayag sa oras na sinabi ni Serj. Devlin and Ruslan deserved time alone together too. I wanted to give time for Devlin and Yeruslan to make up for the years they have lost.
"Mommy cho pwetty..." Hindi ko namalayan na nakatingin na pala sa akin si Ruslan. "Daddy will love Mommy more."
I chuckled. Umupo ako sa tabi n'ya sa sofa.
"Mommy will have to go somewhere again. Iiwan na muna kita sa Daddy mo, okay?"
"Okay!" He even looked like that had just excited him more.
"Don't give him a hard time, okay?"
"Okay!" He then tilted his head to the side. "When can I see Kazik again?"
I frowned, but the smile on my face didn't vanish.
"Kazimir? Why? You want to play with him again?"
Ruslan shook his head. The smile on his face made his chubby little cheeks puff even more.
"I want to tell him I have a dad now, too! I want him to meet Dad!"
I smiled softly. Mukhang nainggit nga talaga si Ruslan kay Kaz noong bumisita sila ni Irina dito. It was that time na sinundo sila ni Killian and Kaz ran up to his father, and he carried his son into his arms. So now, gusto ring ipagmalaki ni Ruslan kay Kazimir na may daddy na s'ya.
I suddenly wanted to blame myself for not realizing what my son really wanted. I didn't even realize kung gaano s'ya kasabik sa ama until I saw him with Devlin yesterday.
"I'll ask Irina when they will be free again, alright?" I caressed my son's hair.
"Okay!" Ruslan looked outside the window again.
We both waited for Devlin. I was starting to feel nervous as the clock ticked by. And when Ruslan yelled happily when we both saw a car parked outside our property, my nervousness rocketed to the highest point. I suddenly felt colder even with my warm clothes.
Mukhang hindi na rin nakapaghintay si Yeruslan dahil tumalon pababa nang sofa at binuksan ang pinto. He ran outside, and I followed him with my heart beating so loudly against my chest. I saw Devlin walking on the pathway at patakbong sumalubong sa kanya ang anak namin.
"Daddy!" Ruslan exc;aimed at patalong lumapit kay Devlin.
Devlin was quick to catch him in his arms. Kinarga n'ya si Ruslan and I noticed the surprised look on his face as Ruslan kissed him on the cheek.
