“What do you think you’re doing?” Derek demanded ferociously, holding Luke by his collar and hoisting him up onto his tip-toes.

I wasn’t sure of whether I should separate the two or go hide myself somewhere.

Luke’s head tilted to the side, and he slipped out a cocky grin.

The Siren blood is full of deceit the voice rang in my ears again deceitful…they are treacherous. You cannot trust them.

I held my ears, trying to block out the droned voice.

Don’t trust them…Sarah….don’t trust them…Sarah….don’t trust them…

It couldn’t be true. I backed up, shaking my head, holding my ears close and trying to stop that murmuring.

That voice was lying. Luke…he wasn’t a traitor!

I looked up at Luke, as he grabbed his brother by his T-Shirt and pushed him back.

“Luke!” I screamed and ran to him, holding him by the shoulders, trying to drown out that voice by yelling at him “Listen to me! You aren’t being yourself!”

“True” he smirked and his eyes…

No, that definitely wasn’t Luke. His eyes were golden!

“Then again” Luke grabbed me around the waist “who said I was Luke?”

I pushed him away and took two cautious steps back, as he coolly pulled his T-Shirt off.

Under normal circumstances, I would’ve appreciated his perfectly scaled chest and the muscle cuts on his biceps. If it was Luke in front of me; I would’ve laughed at him and told him he had a perfect chest. I really would’ve, because that’s how we normally were.

But the person in front of me was a Siren. I knew it and my prediction was only proven when he brought out his wings.

Everybody was tense, until a really deep baritone laugh sounded from Luke. It didn’t sound like how he usually did…that voice made him sound older, like a middle aged man.

“Look at you!” Luke laughed “You’re completely worked up”

His shoulders were shaking as he waved his hand in front of him “All right, no need to get all tense here. I come in peace” and held his fingers apart, doing the peace sign.

“Who are you?” Derek was the first to ask, as he collected himself off the floor. He looked like he had trouble standing up.

“My name” he brought out Luke’s transparent wings “would be Dean White” and he took a majestic bow. Behind him, Luke’s wings caused a transparent obstruction as he moved.

The tension released off dad’s and Luke’s grand mom’s faces.

Did they know who Dean White was?

He continued, folding his arms across his chest “I believe you have questions for me?”

“Well, this is rather odd” I saw Lizeth White smile as Dean returned the kind glance.

I looked at her for an explanation, but she hugged Luke and said “I never thought I’d see my uncle in my grandson”

Luke—er—Dean laughed heartily and hugged her back “Magic is known to complicate things”

If magic was planning to make things weirder, I would’ve taken Juan’s gun and shot myself in the head right there and then, but the voice that was making me feel all sick inside had stopped; and we had a new problem in front of us.
