Chapter Four - Last Wishes

CHAPTER FOUR - LAST WISHES

"Well, it's the wrong answer. However, you're not the only one to answer so considering the massive amount of passer-bys that have contributed to my hunger's satisfaction.", the beast laughed wickedly.

The man looked worried, not about his life but about his daughter's.

"Do you have a last wish, young man?", the Sphinx asked him acting a tad bit concerned.

"Yes, can I go back home for a while and tell my family goodbye? I want to see them for the last time.", the man asked him politely.

"Alright, I give you an hour and once it's over, you will be teleported back to this cave and be my dinner. Now hurry off.", the Sphinx ordered him.

The man rushed out to where he fell from and was suddenly teleported out of the cave.

He hurried to his car and in a haste, dropped his keys down into a bunch of tall plants. He searched for them while calculating the time he had left to live.

The drive back home takes fifty minutes, I'll only have ten minutes to do everything needed.

He found the keys, unlocked the door and got into his car. He drove as fast as he could breaking all the speed limits and reached the building.

He got out and rushed to the house, messaging Mr. Abbot to come with Evelyn to his place at the same time.

He went to his bedroom and all the things he had removed from the drawer had still been strewn on the bed.

He got one of the big boxes from the attic, put some of his wife's things in the box including her diary, wonika's doll and the rest of the things that were in the drawer. He taped up the box and hurriedly wrote a note saying a few words to Mr. Abbot and his family. He stuck the note on the box and kept it in the living room and ran out of the house leaving the door open.

Just then he met Mr. Abbot and held Evelyn in his hands for a while, kissed her forehead and whispered to her a few words and lastly said Goodbye. He gave Evelyn back to Mr. Abbot and left in a hurry.

He had decided upon something while all this was going on. He sat inside his car, started it up and drove as fast as he could, over the bridge and plunged himself and his car into the ocean.

His car sunk to the bottom. He put his seatbelt on and drowned himself.

He would rather kill himself than die as a meal of a monster.

Okay...
A very short chapter but it gave me a few chills while writing it.

I've been thinking of studying Fashion lately and since I'm already 16 going on 17, I'll have to think of something.
Do any of you lovelies know which is the best country to study fashion in?

On a side note, I'll be pursuing writing as well. It takes time and I like doing it especially for you all.
