Chapter Twelve
"Never let it be said that to dream is a waste of one's time, for dreams are our realities in waiting. In dreams, we plant the seeds of our future."
~~~~~~~About 4 hours later~~~~~~~
I squinted away from the bright light being shown on my face.
I saw silhouettes or people. I don't know.
I feel drained, exhausted, tired and most of all, hungry.
What was I doing before this?
Urgh my head hurts. I need pizza.
"Evey, don't move. You need to rest.", a familiar voice told me.
"Why?", I asked, groggily.
"Well, because you just blacked out in the middle of a mall only a few hours ago. I don't think anyone does that on an everday basis.", a sarcastic voice replied from across the room.
Huh?
Then eveything rushed back to me. Shopping and the texts between James and Vain.
Why did I have to do that?! Oh my gosh, it was so stupid.
"I'm thirsty.", I said, voicing my thoughts.
"Here you go.", someone handed me a glass of water.
My sight was still a little bit hazy so I couldn't make out who it was.
I tried to hold the glass but my hands were shivering and shaking. So, whomever it was, put the glass to my mouth and I let the cool liquid quench my thirst.
"Mom?", I questioned, noticing the outline of her petite figure.
My vision was becoming a bit better and I could now see her with blonde curls falling on her shoulders and a look of concern etched on her face.
"Yes, darling. How do you feel?", she replied.
"Better. I want to sit."
"Mrs. Abbot, I'll take my leave now. Night Evelyn and get well soon.", I saw a guy leave the room as soon as I heard that.
I only noticed he had a black hoodie on and a keychain of 'Sabrina the Witch' was slightly hanging out of his left pocket.
He was gone.
"Mom.", I wanted to ask her about who he was.
'You're my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey...'
"Honey, hold on a sec. I've to get this.", She gets up and leaves the room too.
I'm exhausted.
My eyes closed and I immediately fell into deep slumber.
In front of me were a vast ocean of clouds. They were of the color brown, like the sand in the deserts of the Middle East.
From some of those clouds stood tall towers and they looked like they went all the way down to the core of the Earth. They were pretty tall.
I walked forward and I felt surface. I looked up and saw more clouds, but this time these were white ones. Actual clouds.
Was I actually on land and not in the sky?
I knelt down and shuffled my hands through the brown clouds and when they moved, more brown clouds appeared in their place.
